ROLE SUMMARY-
The Publisher and Engagement Specialist is responsible for the final mile of our social media content operation. Once videos have been thought of, created, edited and approved, this person ensures they reach our audiences at the right time, with the right captions, on the right platforms. Beyond publishing, this role owns the comment section. You are the human presence behind our firm accounts, responding to questions, building community, and flagging any legal or sensitive inquiries that need to be escalated.

This role requires exceptional written English communication, sound judgment about what constitutes a legal question versus a general comment, and a commitment to protecting the professional reputation of three law firms. You will not give legal advice in any capacity. You will represent the brand warmly, professionally, and responsibly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-
Content Publishing:
• Schedule all approved videos and posts through Metricool according to the weekly content calendar
• Ensure correct captions, hashtags, and metadata are applied to each post at scheduling time
• Verify that each post is assigned to the correct firm account and correct platform before scheduling
• Maintain a minimum 7-day advance scheduling buffer at all times
• Upload any content directly to platforms when direct publishing through Metricool is not available for a specific format
• Monitor posts immediately after publishing to confirm successful upload and correct display on each platform

Community Engagement:
• Monitor all firm social media accounts daily during business hours for comments, DMs, and mentions
• Respond to general, non-legal comments within 4 business hours using approved response templates
• Like and acknowledge positive testimonials, shares, and supportive comments to build community
• Identify and report any spam, inappropriate content, or trolling to the Social Media Manager for action
• Maintain a warm, professional, and approachable brand tone in all public-facing responses
Escalation and Legal Sensitivity:
• Never respond to any comment or DM that contains a specific legal question, request for legal advice, or description of a pending case
• Flag all potential client inquiry messages immediately to the Director of Marketing and the appropriate attorney of record
• Maintain a daily escalation log documenting all flagged messages, the platform, and the time of escalation
• Do not engage in any discussion of case outcomes, attorney fees, or legal strategy under any circumstance
• If a comment contains threatening or harassing language directed at the firm, document and escalate immediately

Scheduling Optimization:
• Use Metricool analytics to identify the optimal posting times for each platform and adjust the calendar accordingly
• Track and report which time slots generate the highest early engagement (first 30 minutes post-publication)
• Coordinate with the Social Media Manager when content volume changes require calendar adjustments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS-
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in social media publishing, community management, or digital marketing coordination with emphasis on social media engagement to establish branding and generating current and future clients for our three law firms.
• Excellent written English communication skills with a professional, friendly tone.
• Proficiency with Metricool or a comparable scheduling platform (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding account assignment and caption accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment about when to respond versus when to escalate.
• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok publishing workflows.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-
• Experience managing social accounts for a U.S.-based law firm or professional services brand.
• Understanding of the boundaries between community engagement and legal advice.
• Familiarity with comment moderation and community guidelines enforcement.
• Experience using Notion or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
