JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Podcast Video Editor who can turn long-form podcast episodes into engaging, scroll-stopping short-form content.

This is an immediate-start position beginning with a paid trial period, with the potential for ongoing work.

What You’ll Do

➡️ Reviewing full-length podcast episodes and identifying the strongest moments to turn into short-form social media videos for Instagram, with the potential of expanding to YouTube or TikTok. Experience on all 3 platforms is preferred but not required.

➡️ Selecting clips based on their potential for engagement, retention, shares, comments, and saves

➡️ Create strong hooks and engaging pacing to keep viewers watching

➡️ Adding relevant images, graphics, screenshots, words, or visual elements throughout clips to maintain attention and increase engagement

➡️ Using pacing, cuts, zooms, and other editing techniques appropriately to keep clips visually interesting

➡️ Communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and implement feedback

What We’re Looking For:

➡️ Previous experience editing short-form social media content on Instagram. We also would prefer experience on TikTok and YouTube.

➡️ A strong understanding of hooks, retention, and what makes a clip engaging

➡️ Experience selecting high-potential clips from long-form content

➡️ Strong visual instincts and attention to detail

➡️ Excellent communication and reliability
