JOB OVERVIEW

YouTube + Content Growth Virtual Assistant (Remote)
Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support our YouTube channel growth end-to-end: video editing, uploads, SEO optimisation, repurposing into Shorts for multiple platforms, and proactive improvement suggestions.
This role is for someone who understands YouTube as a search and recommendation engine (not just editing), and can spot growth opportunities, content blindspots, and lead-generation angles.

Key Responsibilities
1) YouTube video editing + publishing
Edit long-form videos (clean cuts, pacing, captions/subtitles when needed, simple motion graphics, audio levelling)
Prepare thumbnails (basic design + A/B-ready variations if possible)
Upload and publish videos on schedule
Add end screens, cards, chapters, and pinned comments

2) YouTube SEO + optimisation
Do keyword research and topic validation (search intent + competition)
Optimise titles, descriptions, tags, categories, and hashtags
Recommend playlists and channel structure improvements

3) Repurposing into Shorts + cross-posting
Create YouTube Shorts from long-form content (hook-first, tight pacing, captions)
Repurpose and format for:
Instagram Reels
TikTok
XHS (Xiaohongshu)
Ensure correct aspect ratios, safe zones, and platform-native best practices

4) Blog + web link maintenance (SEO support)
Maintain blog posts that support video topics (basic formatting + internal linking)

5) Growth monitoring + proactive recommendations
Watch for channel growth opportunities (trending topics, competitor moves, content gaps)
Identify blindspots in content strategy (what we’re not addressing, weak hooks, unclear positioning)
Suggest lead-generation improvements (CTAs, lead magnets, link-in-bio structure, pinned comment strategy)
