Social Media Manager – Content Publishing & Audience Growth (Paid Trial)

Position: Part-Time / Remote
Paid Trial: One Week
Compensation: $5 USD per hour
Trial Limit: 5 hours maximum ($25 total)
Opportunity: Potential Long-Term Position

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, dependable, organized, and growth-oriented Social Media Manager to support our counseling, nonprofit, and faith-based initiatives.

Our organization focuses on emotional wellness, healthy relationships, marriage and family enrichment, personal development, and community outreach.

We already have a video editor who prepares much of our content. We are looking for someone who can take our completed videos, graphics, and promotional materials and effectively publish them across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Our goal is not simply to post content, but to build a meaningful, engaging, and growing online presence.

The ideal candidate will begin by following our content direction and potentially grow into a proactive social media manager who brings creative ideas, understands our mission, and helps expand our reach.

Phase 1: One-Week Paid Trial

The initial paid trial will focus primarily on content publishing and distribution.

Responsibilities include:

Upload and publish completed videos, graphics, and promotional materials provided by our team.

Prepare content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, including Reels, Shorts, and standard posts.

Write engaging captions, titles, descriptions, and relevant hashtags.

Follow our content calendar, posting instructions, and brand guidelines.

Ensure content is properly formatted for each platform.

Submit posts for approval before publishing when requested.

Verify that published content displays correctly.

Provide links to published content and a brief progress report.

Communicate effectively and complete assignments within agreed deadlines.

Original video creation and advanced video editing are not required during the initial trial.

We will evaluate candidates based on accuracy, attention to detail, communication, creativity, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.

Phase 2: Potential Ongoing Social Media Management

Candidates who successfully complete the paid trial may be considered for ongoing responsibilities, including:

Developing and maintaining a consistent social media posting schedule.

Creating and managing a monthly content calendar.

Implementing strategies to organically grow followers and audience engagement.

Increasing visibility through effective captions, hashtags, platform features, and content distribution.

Monitoring audience engagement and responding to comments or messages according to approved guidelines.

Identifying opportunities to increase reach, interaction, and community participation.

Tracking social media performance and providing simple reports.

Recommending creative ideas for upcoming events, promotions, and campaigns.

Collaborating with our video editor to ensure content supports our overall goals.

Helping maintain a consistent and professional brand presence across all platforms.

We value someone who can eventually contribute ideas and recommendations rather than simply wait for instructions.

Additional Creative Skills — A Plus!

Although video editing is not required for the initial trial, we especially welcome candidates with experience in:

CapCut or other video editing software.

Creating original short-form videos, Reels, Shorts, and TikToks.

Canva graphic design and promotional materials.

Video storytelling and engaging social media content.

Social media content strategy and organic audience growth.

Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and TikTok publishing tools.

Social media analytics and performance tracking.

These additional skills may provide opportunities for expanded responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

Experience publishing content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Understanding of platform-specific posting formats and best practices.

Strong written English communication skills.

Ability to write professional and engaging captions.

Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Reliable internet access and consistent communication.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Respect for Christian, counseling, marriage, family, and nonprofit-related content.

Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow professionally.

Paid Trial Details

Duration: One week
Hourly Rate: $5 USD
Maximum Hours: 5 hours
Maximum Trial Compensation: $25 USD

Candidates must not exceed five hours without prior written approval.

The trial will involve publishing and distributing content supplied by our team.

Paid Trial Challenge:
Using up to 10 pieces of content provided by our team, develop and execute a one-week posting strategy across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. We want to see your creativity, initiative, and understanding of audience growth. You will determine the recommended posting frequency, timing, captions, and engagement approach, subject to our approval. All work must remain within the five-hour paid trial limit.

Successful completion of the trial may lead to an ongoing part-time opportunity. Future responsibilities, hours, and compensation will be discussed separately.

How to Apply

Please submit the following:

A brief introduction about yourself and your social media experience.

Your experience publishing content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Links to social media accounts you have managed or examples of your previous work.

Your experience with Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, or other scheduling tools.

Any additional skills in CapCut, Canva, video creation, or editing.

Your availability to begin the one-week paid trial.

Please also answer this question:

If we provided you with a completed 60-second video, how would you approach publishing and promoting it across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to maximize engagement and reach?

We are looking for someone who is dependable, creative, willing to learn, and interested in growing with our organization.

If you enjoy social media, understand the importance of meaningful content, and want an opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply!
