JOB OVERVIEW

Larkin Media is building some of the fastest-growing hyperlocal newsletters in the U.S. and now we’re ready to level up our social media game. We’re looking for a creative, proactive Social Media Manager who can help us grow engaged local audiences across multiple cities.

What You’ll Do
Content creation: Plan, design, and publish posts (carousels, short videos, stories, reels) that fit each community’s vibe and drive engagement.
Template-driven scaling: Build reusable creative frameworks we can roll out across multiple local pages.
Community growth: Execute strategies to grow Instagram and Facebook followings in cities like Leander, Round Rock, and beyond.
Collaboration: Work closely with our team to align content with newsletters, advertiser campaigns, and local events.
Flexibility: Jump in on other creative or content tasks when needed, it’s a startup, so you’ll wear different hats.

Must-Haves
Strong design and content creation skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar).
Experience managing Instagram/Facebook accounts with measurable growth.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Availability to work during Texas business hours for team syncs.
Positive, problem-solving mindset — comfortable with a fast-paced, startup environment.

Bonus Skills
Short-form video editing (Reels/TikTok style).
Experience with newsletters, community management, or local media.
Familiarity with analytics and engagement reporting.

Hours & Pay
Full-time role (remote, flexible schedule with Texas overlap).
$1,000–$1,500 USD/month, depending on experience.
