JOB OVERVIEW

About the role
This is a hands-on creative and account role. You'll turn client footage into scroll-stopping reels, build Canva templates that keep every brand consistent, and keep a close eye on every account so nothing slips.
Written content (captions, scripts, post copy) is produced in-house with AI tools, so this role is not a copywriting job. Your value is in how the content looks, how it's edited, and how reliably it goes out.
What you'll do
• Edit short-form reels in CapCut from raw client footage uploaded to Google Drive: hooks, cuts, captions, music, transitions and formatting for Instagram, Facebook and ----------
• Build and maintain Canva template sets for each client (feed posts, stories, carousels), set up so the team can reuse them without breaking the layout
• Apply each client's brand kit consistently across everything you create
• Schedule content and check daily that what was scheduled actually went out
• Monitor client accounts and flag anything off: failed posts, gaps in the content calendar, comments that need a reply, sudden drops in reach
• Chase clients early when footage is missing, before deadlines are at risk
• Keep files organised in shared Drive folders and keep task trackers up to date
• Use the latest AI and editing tools to work faster without dropping quality
What you need
• Strong CapCut skills, with real examples of reels you edited from footage someone else filmed
• Strong Canva skills, with templates you built from scratch (not just edited from Canva's library), including brand kits and locked layouts
• At least 2 years of social media content experience for businesses or agencies
• Experience managing multiple accounts at once, with a system for keeping track
• Good written English for working with our Australian team
• A stable internet connection, and backup internet and power
• Proactive habits: you notice problems and raise them before you're asked
Nice to have
• Experience with Metricool, Meta Business Suite, Buffer or similar schedulers
• Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects
• Experience with Australian small business clients
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Canva AI in a creative workflow
• Basic understanding of social media analytics
