About Us
We're Alex and Beck — a couple building personal brands on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. We're not selling a product or a course. We're building an audience around who we actually are — our lifestyle, relationship, travel, and everyday
We're based in Sydney, Australia. We've worked with social media managers in the past, but we've found that what we actually need is someone who executes — an editor with creative instincts, not someone focused on scheduling frameworks and content strategy documents.
The Role
This is primarily an editing and content production role. You will take raw footage, photos, and ideas from us and turn them into polished, publishable content. You'll work across three Instagram accounts, each with a slightly different personality and purpose, and you'll help us maintain a consistent publishing cadence without sacrificing quality.
You will have creative input — we want your ideas, your honest feedback, and your eye. But the job is measured by what gets made and published, not by strategy decks.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Video editing (primary focus)
Editing short-form video content for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts from raw footage we provide
Adding captions, text overlays, transitions, sound design, and music
Colour grading and basic visual enhancement
Cutting for pace and engagement — you understand hooks, retention, and how people actually watch content
Graphics and static content
Designing carousels, quote tiles, story templates, and thumbnails
Maintaining visual consistency across accounts (fonts, colours, overall aesthetic)
Producing assets that look and feel premium, not templated
Workflow and communication
Reviewing revision notes left in
Organising files in our shared Google Drive in an agreed folder structure
Flagging when you need more raw content from us so we can plan shoots accordingly
Communicating proactively — we'd rather hear "I need X to finish this" early than silence followed by a delay
Creative input
Suggesting content ideas based on what you're seeing perform in the lifestyle/personal brand space
Flagging trends in audio, editing styles, or formats that could work for our accounts
Being honest if something we've asked for isn't going to land the way we think it will
What This Role Is Not
To be direct: we're not looking for someone to manage our overall social media strategy, write lengthy captions about brand pillars, or tell us we should only post three times a week for maximum algorithm performance. We've been down that road. We want volume and quality, and we want someone who understands that personal brand content is built through consistency and personality — not a single perfectly optimised post per week.
