ABOUT THE ROLE
I am an experienced NYC real estate broker looking for a proactive social media producer to help launch and manage my personal Instagram account.
This is a personal-brand account (for work), but not a company page, and this is not simply a video-editing job. I need someone who can develop the strategy, organize the material I already have, tell me exactly what to record, and turn everything into consistent content.
The goal is to create useful, candid NYC real estate content that feels personal and natural, not overly polished or salesy.
WHAT I ALREADY HAVE
I have apartment-tour videos, listing photos, neighborhood footage, deal stories, market commentary,
I can record two or three short voiceovers or voice notes each week, but I do not want to spend hours filming or constantly appear on camera. You should know how to create strong content using existing footage, photos, voiceovers, and occasional simple footage that you ask me to capture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop the initial strategy, content pillars, and posting calendar.
• Review and organize my existing videos, photos, and other material.
• Research what is working for successful real estate brokers and personal brands.
• Propose specific content ideas without waiting for me to assign them.
• Write hooks, short voiceover scripts, captions, and carousel copy in a natural voice.
• Give me a clear weekly list of exactly what to record, including the topic and desired length.
• Edit Reels, Stories, apartment tours, voiceover videos, and carousels.
• Repurpose individual pieces of content into multiple posts when possible.
• Help establish a secure process for account access, approvals, scheduling, and publishing.
• Review analytics and adjust the strategy based on performance.
• Follow up with me and keep the process moving.
INITIAL CONTENT PLAN
The initial goal will likely be four feed posts per week and Stories three to five days per week. Approximately 70% to 80% of the content should focus on real estate and business, with 20% to 30% covering family, food, travel, and NYC life.
WHO I AM LOOKING FOR
You should have experience with personal brands, strong video-editing skills, excellent written English, and good editorial judgment. You should understand hooks, storytelling, captions, and short-form video.
Most importantly, you must be proactive. I do not want someone who only edits videos after receiving detailed instructions. You should be comfortable proposing ideas, giving me direction, and taking ownership of the content process.
Prior real estate experience is helpful but not required. Strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to learn are more important.
HOURS AND COMPENSATION
This is a part-time, ongoing role, initially around 10 to 15 hours per week.
The schedule can be flexible, but you should be available for a regular call or brief overlap during New York business hours.
HOW TO APPLY
Please include:
1. Links to three examples of personal-brand or short-form content you created, along with an explanation of what you handled.
2. A short explanation of how you would launch my account using existing apartment-tour videos, personal photos, and new voiceovers.
3. One example of a specific voiceover you would ask an NYC real estate broker to record.
4. The tools you use for editing, planning, scheduling, and analytics.
Please include the words “no sales pitch” at the end of your application so I know you read the full posting.
