Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist
Full-Time | PST Hours Required
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Content Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team full-time, supporting two established lifestyle brands: The Fruit Company (premium orchard-fresh fruit gifts) and Mount Hood Railroad (a historic passenger-train and tourism experience in Hood River, Oregon).
This role is ideal for a hands-on content creator who can write, design, and publish across social, web, and blog platforms, while maintaining distinct brand voices and visual styles. You will work closely with our marketing team on daily execution, seasonal campaigns, storytelling, recipes, and evergreen content.

Key Responsibilities
Content Writing & Storytelling
• Write high-quality content for:
o Social media posts and campaigns
o Website pages and landing pages
o Blog posts and long-form content
o Recipe development and recipe blog content
• Adapt tone and messaging for two distinct brands (food gifting vs. tourism/experiential)
• Ensure all content meets strong English grammar, clarity, and brand standards
Social Media Content Creation
• Create, schedule, and publish social content (primarily Instagram &
• Design social graphics and short-form videos using Canva and Adobe tools
• Assist with influencer sourcing, outreach, coordination, and content tracking
• Monitor engagement and recommend content optimizations
Design & Visual Execution
• Design on-brand assets including:
o Social graphics
o Blog and website visuals
o
• Maintain consistent brand representation across both companies
• Collaborate with internal designer on various projects
Email
• Assist digital marketing specialist with
• Support promotional, seasonal, and storytelling campaigns
• Manage content calendars, tasks, and deadlines using ClickUp
Performance & Optimization
• Track content and social performance and provide recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and conversions
• Analyze social and content trends to inform future campaigns and editorial planning
• Organize campaign assets and deliverables
• Use SEMrush to support content research, keyword planning, competitor analysis, and performance insights

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong English writing and communication skills (required)
• Proven content writing experience with portfolio examples (blogs, social, brand copy)
• 5+ years of social media and content experience or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proficiency with:
o Canva
o Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator or Premiere a plus)
o Klaviyo
o ClickUp or similar project management tools
o SEMrush for content research and performance analysis
• Experience managing multiple brands or brand voices
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working collaboratively
