About Us

Sumica Inc. is a Japanese real estate company supporting international clients who want to purchase, renovate, manage, rent, or use property in Japan.

We are looking for a creative team member who can turn our existing blogs, newsletters, customer stories, property information, and educational content into engaging social media content.

You will work closely with our Content/SEO Specialist, who handles SEO strategy, blog writing, newsletters, and the content calendar.

This is primarily a visual content production and video editing role, not a long-form writing role.

Main Responsibilities

Create Instagram carousel posts using Canva
Create and edit Reels and short-form vertical videos using CapCut or similar tools
Repurpose blog articles and newsletters into engaging social media content
Turn long-form educational content into simple, visually engaging posts
Create content from customer testimonials, buyer stories, properties, renovation examples, and company materials
Write or refine short English captions
Follow our existing content calendar and posting schedule
Reuse and improve existing Canva templates
Organize image and video assets
Repurpose successful older content
Suggest new carousel and Reel ideas
Maintain consistent branding and professional design quality
Review basic post performance
Turn insights from our Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and marketing team into organic social content

We want someone who can make these topics clear, professional, trustworthy, and visually engaging.

What We Are Looking For

Strong Canva skills
Strong CapCut or short-form video editing skills
Experience creating Instagram Reels and carousel posts
Good visual design sense
Good written English
Ability to turn long-form content into concise social content
Understanding of hooks, subtitles, B-roll, transitions, and viewer retention
Attention to detail
Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently based on an existing content direction

Experience with real estate, investment, finance, travel, relocation, or professional services is highly preferred.

Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for hooks, scripts, subtitles, and content repurposing is welcome, but you must be able to independently judge and maintain the quality of the final content.

How We Work

Our Content/SEO Specialist handles the strategy, SEO articles, newsletters, topic planning, and content calendar.

Your primary responsibility will be turning that content into excellent visual social media content.

Initially, we expect approximately:

1+ Instagram carousel per week
1+ Reel / short-form video per week

Quality and consistency are more important than simply producing a large number of posts.
