JOB OVERVIEW

The Role

We're looking for a part-time contractor to create social media graphics for a small roster of retainer clients. You will receive content ideas, direction, examples, and brand guidelines for each post, as well as access to clients' assets (raw photos and videos, editorial images, and past post examples) to create the content. This is an ongoing role, not a one-off project, with room to grow as our client roster grows.

Platforms: Instagram (Reels, Stories, Carousels) and TikTok
Clients: Mostly product-based businesses with some service-based businesses

Core Responsibilities:

1. Video Content Creation
-Edit short-form videos (15–90 seconds) for Instagram Reels and TikTok
-Turn raw client footage into engaging, polished content
-Add subtitles/captions, basic motion graphics, and light branding
-Improve pacing, hooks, and flow to increase engagement
-Resize and format videos correctly for each platform

2. Graphic Design
-Create branded social media graphics and carousels
-Design content using Canva and/or Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
-Follow existing brand guidelines, templates, and visual styles

3. Workflow & Revisions
-Organize files and follow naming conventions
-Implement feedback and revisions accurately and on time
-Communicate clearly if something is missing or unclear

Required Skills & Experience:
-Experience creating social media content for Instagram and/or TikTok
-Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
-Experience creating graphics in Canva and with Adobe tools (Photoshop or Illustrator)
-Understanding of short-form video best practices (hooks, pacing, captions)
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Preferred (But Not Required):
-Experience working with multiple clients or agency-style workflows
-Familiarity with brand guidelines and client revisions
-Basic understanding of social media trends (without overusing trends)
-Bonus: experience creating content for product or lifestyle brands
