Part-Time Instagram Content Creator & Manager

About The Birth Companions:

TBC is a growing birth and postpartum doula agency helping expecting families access compassionate, professional support.

We are looking for a creative and dependable part-time Instagram Content Creator and Manager to help us educate expecting parents, build trust with our audience, and grow our Instagram presence.

This role is focused specifically on Instagram. You will create high-quality authentic content, manage our posting schedule, and help maintain an active and supportive online community.

What You’ll Do:

- Create Instagram Reels, carousels, graphics, Stories, and static posts
- Edit short-form videos using provided footage and other approved assets
- Write clear, engaging captions in our brand voice
- Research pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and doula-related content ideas
- Develop and maintain a monthly Instagram content calendar
- Schedule and publish Instagram content
- Create content based on current Instagram trends while keeping it appropriate for our brand
- Repurpose existing educational materials into engaging Instagram posts
- Monitor comments and direct messages
- Respond to basic comments and messages using approved guidelines
- Track basic performance metrics, including reach, views, saves, shares, and engagement
- Recommend new content ideas based on performance and audience interests

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have experience creating content specifically for Instagram
- Can produce polished Reels, carousels, and Stories
- Have strong visual judgment and attention to detail
- Write clear, natural English
- Are good with engaging with other channels and organizing collaborations
- Understand hooks, storytelling, and what makes people stop scrolling
- Can work independently and meet deadlines
- Are comfortable receiving feedback
- Can research sensitive topics carefully and avoid making unsupported medical claims
- Are interested in pregnancy, maternal health, parenting, wellness, or mission-driven brands
- Know how to produce content that has a strong emotional appeal

## Preferred Tools and Experience

Experience with some of the following is helpful:

- Canva
- CapCut
- Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video-editing software
- Instagram
- Meta Business Suite
- ChatGPT or other AI-assisted content tools
- Google Drive and Google Docs

Experience working with healthcare, pregnancy, parenting, doula, wellness, or women-focused brands is a plus, but not required.

Hours and Schedule:

- Part-time position
- Approximately 5 hours per week
- Flexible working hours
- Some overlap with United States business hours may occasionally be required
- Long-term opportunity for the right person

What Success Looks Like

The right person will help us:

- Publish high-quality Instagram content consistently
- Create a recognizable and trustworthy brand presence
- Increase reach, saves, shares, and meaningful engagement
- Build an organized and repeatable content-production process
- Turn educational topics into useful, approachable content for expecting families

How to Apply

Please include:

1. A short introduction about yourself and your Instagram content experience.
2. A link to your portfolio.
3. Links to Instagram accounts you have created content for or managed.
4. Three examples of Reels, carousels, or other Instagram posts you created.
5. A brief explanation of your role in creating each example.
6. The tools you use for graphic design, video editing, and content planning.
