Social Media Content Creator + Assistant
(Canva • Short-Form Video • Execution-Focused)
We’re hiring a creative and highly organized assistant to support Dr. Robyn Silverman, child development expert, speaker, and content creator.
This is not a typical VA role.
This role sits at the intersection of content creation and execution.
You will help bring ideas to life through social media content while also making sure nothing falls through the cracks behind the scenes.
The work matters. The pace is fast. The standard is high.
If you enjoy creating clean, engaging content and take pride in being organized and reliable, this will feel like a great fit.
If you prefer only admin work or only creative work, this is not the role for you.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Content Creation (Primary Focus)
• Create clean, engaging social media graphics in Canva
• Repurpose existing content into posts that feel native to Instagram
• Edit short-form videos (Reels style) using CapCut or similar
• Organize and schedule content consistently
• Assist with a monthly layout project in Adobe InDesign
Operations Support (Execution)
• Manage and organize calendar commitments
• Keep inbox organized and flag priorities
• Maintain a clean and updated CRM
• Track deadlines so nothing gets missed
• Support day-to-day execution as needed
What We’re Looking For

• Ability to edit simple, clean short-form video (not over-edited)
• Strong written English
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to follow direction AND think independently
• Reliable, consistent, and proactive
Nice to Have
• Adobe InDesign experience
• Experience supporting a content creator, coach, or education brand
Time Requirements
At least 50% overlap with Eastern Time (New York) required.
Reliable internet is a must.
Compensation
$5–6 per hour depending on experience.
This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
--> IMPORTANT – Read Carefully Before Applying
This role requires both creativity and organization.
If you are only comfortable with admin work or only comfortable with design, this will not be a fit.
How to Apply
Do not apply unless you can follow instructions.
Send the following:
A short introduction
Two Canva graphics you personally created
One short-form video you edited (CapCut or similar)
Your hourly rate
Your weekly availability and EST working hours
Somewhere in your message include the word
Applications without examples will not be reviewed.
Final Step (Required)
Before we move forward, you will be asked to complete a short test assignment to demonstrate your ability to match our content style.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys creating content, and can help keep a fast-moving brand running smoothly every single week.
