JOB OVERVIEW

Canopy Trades helps local home-service companies grow. Pelican Painters in the Greater Toronto Area is one of our core businesses. We are hiring a hands-on social media and community growth specialist to create useful content, manage conversations, and uncover real customer opportunities for Canopy and its client companies.

This is a part-time, paid two-week pilot at 15 hours per week, with room to expand based on results. You will work from an agreed weekly priority list across Facebook, Instagram, and relevant online communities.

What you will do:
- Plan, create, and schedule Facebook and Instagram posts, short videos, stories, and replies using approved client photos, facts, and offers. Keep each company's voice consistent.
- Monitor comments and messages daily, answer routine questions, and route sales inquiries to our office promptly. Obtain approval for claims, offers, or sensitive replies.
- Participate on Reddit daily as a helpful, real person in communities where participation is allowed. Follow each community's rules, disclose your connection to Canopy or a client when relevant, and never pose as an independent customer. No spam, mass DMs, fake reviews, bought engagement, or automatic posting.
- Find and log at least 10 relevant opportunities each week, including the source, location, service needed, urgency, and a permitted next step. We care about qualified conversations and booked estimates, not a pile of links.
- Use tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, scheduling software, and AI drafting where useful. Review everything before it goes live and protect client access.
- Send a concise weekly report: content published, conversations handled, qualified opportunities, booked appointments, and what worked.

You should have strong written English, proven management of Facebook and Instagram for local businesses, good judgment in public communities, and a habit of tracking outcomes. Experience with Canadian or US home services is a plus. You must be able to cover some Toronto business hours.
