JOB OVERVIEW

We're an independent handmade fashion label based in Melbourne, running since 2008. We've built 220k+ on Instagram from our own content, all shot and made in-house. Our work is dark, gothic, high end fashion and editorial.

Right now we need someone to take the raw footage we shoot ourselves (studio behind-the-scenes, product detail, the making process, campaign content) and create engaging, high performing video content. Our branding references include Ssense, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester Miista, Vivienne Westwood, and Rave Review, but in a darker aesthetic.

This starts as an editing role, but there is room to grow. In the future this role will progress into a social media assistant, responsible for scheduling our regular Instagram posts, TikTok, Facebook, ---------- and Twitter. We will provide a strategy to follow, along with support for caption writing and style of design.

What you need:

A genuine eye for fashion and cultural content in our gothic fashion niche
Comfortable in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop or similar
Understand pacing, music choice, text overlay, what makes an edit feel engaging and encourage interactions
Aware of reel trends without being ruled by them
Familiar with scheduling content across platforms (Later, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
Freelance, potential for ongoing. Approx 5 hrs/week to start. We will begin with an unpaid trial project to see if we're a good match. After the trial, the rate is $10USD per reel to start, negotiable with experience, then open to an hourly rate with ongoing weekly work for the right person. We are looking for quality over quantity.
