JOB OVERVIEW

Editor Wanted — Solo Production Company | DaVinci Resolve | Short-Form and Long-Form editing

I run a solo production company making commercials for global brands and music videos for artists, my own personal brand, and clients in diverse genres: clothing, fashion, medical, real estate, events, etc. I shoot videos similar to YouTubers like Danny Gevirtz, Carlos Stigliano, Mason Charles, etc. Looking for one dedicated editor to build a long-term workflow with — someone I can grow with over the next few years.

This is not a "clipper" job. Even short clips need a real editor's ear: natural-feeling cuts, full word-endings, clean spacing, pacing that flows, noise removed, consistent volume.

Why this is different:
This is a craft position, not a volume seat. You'll work directly with an experienced director/cinematographer and learn a real editor's eye — pacing, listenability, what makes a talking-head cut feel human instead of templated.

What you'll do:
20-30 short-form clips/month (vertical 9:16, cut from long-form footage/streams), following a documented brand style (fonts, caption animation, hook style — all provided)
5–10 fuller edited videos/month (b-roll, motion graphics, color)
Select/review footage and find the best ---------- nts
Deliver to a shared through Google Drive or ----------
The deliverability will change month to month based on my clients.

Must have:
DaVinci Resolve required — this is a hard requirement since we share projects directly (Premiere-only editors, please don't apply)
A genuine eye for pacing and audio — you'll need to show this, not just claim it
Strong written and spoken English (there's a short video call)
Full-time availability, self-directed
A dedicated editing computer + stable upload/download internet

Nice to have
Motion graphics / color grading in Resolve

Pay & structure
$1,200/month retainer to start (weekly pay for month one, then twice monthly)
