About Us

Hemlock Hills Cabin Rentals is a family-run cabin rental company in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. We manage 1–5 bedroom cabins across Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville, properties with hot tubs, private pools, game rooms, and theater rooms, serving everything from romantic getaways to 16-person family reunions.

We book through Airbnb, VRBO, and our own direct site, and we run OwnerRez as our PMS. Because we're small, the person in this role touches almost every part of the operation, and gets real ownership over it.

What You'll Actually Do

Listing quality control

-Audit every cabin listing across Airbnb, VRBO, and our direct booking site
-Make sure titles, descriptions, amenity lists, house rules, bed configurations, and photo captions are complete, accurate, and consistent from cabin to cabin.
-Catch the gaps: A cabin that says "hot tub" on one channel and not another, an outdated pet policy, a missing occupancy limit.

SOP and guest communication improvement

-Work through our HostBuddy SOPs and message reports
-Identify the questions and issues that keep coming up: Door codes, check-in timing, directions, pet rules, hot tub instructions.
-Write and update SOP responses so the same question never has to be answered from scratch twice.

Competitive research

-Track what other Smoky Mountain cabin companies are running for specials and last-minute deals.
-Watch how they price and promote around Dollywood season, fall foliage, Winterfest, and the Rocky Top Sports World / Ripken Baseball tournament calendars
-Report back monthly with specific recommendations for our own specials page

Local vendor partnerships

-Call and email local attractions, restaurants, and activity operators across Sevier County.
-Negotiate guest discount packages and perks we can add to our Attraction Deals offering.
-Keep those relationships warm and the offers current; expired deals on the site are worse than no deals.

Restocking and supplies

-Monitor and reorder cabin consumables, coffee, soaps, paper goods, and other guest supplies.
-Keep cabins stocked ahead of turnover volume, especially heading into peak season.

Owner statement prep (monthly)
-Once a month, enter all recurring charges into OwnerRez for owner statements.
-OwnerRez doesn't auto-add these, so it's manual, and it has to be exact. Owners see these statements, and a missed line item is a phone call I don't want to have.

Requirements
-Hands-on OwnerRez experience: Non-negotiable. You should already know charges, statements, and the owner side of the platform.
-Airbnb and VRBO experience: You've managed live listings, not just read about them
-Excellent written and spoken English: You'll be on the phone with US vendors, not just sending emails
-Comfortable making outbound contact: Cold-calling a local attraction to pitch a partnership doesn't scare you
-Strong operational instincts: You notice what's missing and fix it without being asked twice
-Reliable overlap with US Eastern Time

Nice to Have
-HostBuddy or similar AI guest-messaging tool experience
-PriceLabs or other revenue management tools
-Experience with cabin or mountain vacation rentals specifically
-Basic copywriting skill for listing and website descriptions
-Familiarity with the Smokies market (Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge / Sevierville)

Compensation
$6.00 - 8.00/hour USD, part-time at 4-6hours hours/day
Paid DATE - TBD
Long-term, stable role: we're not looking for a short-term contractor
