JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US marketing agency. We run the ads and the booking systems for
outdoor lighting companies across the United States. Our clients light up
homes at night, so the work is beautiful and it films well.

We need a full-time video editor who can turn raw phone footage into short
vertical videos that make people call a lighting company. This is not brand
film work. This is high volume, fast turnaround, direct response ad creative,
plus social content for our founder.

WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERY WEEK

- Edit 12 to 20 short vertical ad videos (15 to 45 seconds) from client
footage, stock, and screen recordings
- Cut 5 to 7 clips from our founder's raw recordings for LinkedIn and X
- Build before and after videos (a dark yard, then the same yard lit up at night)
- Add captions, hooks, text overlays, light sound design, and end cards
- Make size variants of every winning video (9:16, 4:5, 1:1)
- Build our template files, caption presets, and hook bank so every future
video gets faster
- Turn our screen recordings into simple written checklists in Notion during
your first 60 days. We give you the hours for this, it is part of the job
- Keep the asset library organized so nothing is lost or edited twice

WHAT YOU NEED

- 2 or more years editing short vertical video for social media or paid ads
- Strong with CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro. After Effects is a plus, not required
- You can cut a hook in the first 2 seconds and you know why that matters
- Good written English. You will get feedback in Loom videos and Slack messages
- Fast internet, a computer that can handle 4K footage, and a quiet place to work
- You can deliver 3 to 4 finished videos on a normal day without dropping quality

NICE TO HAVE

- You have edited ads for a US home services business (roofing, pools,
landscaping, lighting, remodeling)
- You understand Meta ad specs and safe zones
- You can make simple static images and carousels in Canva
- You have used AI tools like HeyGen, ElevenLabs, or Descript in a real workflow
