JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Short-Form Video Research Assistant for a one-week paid project, with the possibility of ongoing work.

Your main responsibility will be finding high-performing street interviews, street-interview ads, product reactions and public challenge videos across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

For each suitable video, you’ll add the following information to a structured Google Sheet:

• Original video link
• Platform and account name
• Visible views, likes, comments and shares
• Complete video transcript
• Opening hook
• Questions and follow-up questions
• Overall format and structure
• Product introduction, if applicable
• Strongest reaction or moment
• CTA or ending
• Presenter and editing style
• What makes the video effective
• How the format could be adapted for another product or brand
• Useful audience comments where relevant

You’ll be provided with clear instructions, completed examples, dropdown labels and a tracking template.

The ideal candidate:

• Understands TikTok, Instagram Reels and short-form content
• Has strong written English
• Is comfortable using Google Sheets and Google Drive
• Can follow detailed instructions accurately
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Can identify strong hooks, questions and storytelling
• Is comfortable using AI transcription tools
• Can work independently and check for duplicate videos

PAYMENT

• $160 fixed payment for the completed 40-hour week
• Additional $20 quality bonus available

The $20 quality bonus will be paid if:

• At least 150 suitable videos are properly tracked
• At least 90% of audited information is accurate
• Records are complete, organised and free from unnecessary duplicates
• Transcripts, hooks, questions and product introductions are correctly identified
• The completed spreadsheet and files are delivered by the agreed deadline

HOURS

• 40 hours across five days
• Eight hours per day
• Working hours can be flexible

WEEKLY TARGETS

• Minimum: 120 properly tracked videos
• Target: 150 properly tracked videos
• Stretch: 200 videos if accuracy remains high

Quality and accuracy are more important than reaching the stretch target. Incomplete, duplicated or inaccurately labelled records will not count towards the total.

This will begin as a one-week project. If your work is accurate, organised and thoughtful, there may be ongoing weekly or part-time work available.

TO APPLY

Please send:

1. A short introduction
2. Any relevant research, data-entry or social-media experience
3. Confirmation that you can complete 40 hours for $160
4. One street-interview video you think is creatively strong
5. Two or three sentences explaining why the video works

Begin your application with “VIDEO RESEARCH” so we know you have read the full description.
