**About the Role**
I'm Dusty. I run YouTube and Instagram channels about AI automation tools and crypto trading. I record myself talking to camera. That's the only part I do. Everything that shows up on screen after that, the b-roll, the screen recordings, the text pops, the memes, the zooms, all of it is your job.
I'm hiring one editor to own that layer.
**The Style**
Watch these before you apply:
A few reels from each is enough. They all do the same thing. There's a person talking, and there's something on screen for almost every sentence. App UIs, screen recordings, cursor movement, arrows, highlighted text, quick memes, captions that land on the beat.
If you've never built an edit that looks like that, skip this one.
**What You Do**
* Get a raw take from me. One person talking to camera, 60 to 180 seconds. One file, nothing cleaned up yet
* Cut it tight. Dead air goes, so do the fumbles and the restarts. If a sentence drags, it goes
* Build the visual layer. Every claim gets something on screen: a screen recording of the tool, a UI shot, an arrow, a highlight, a chart, a meme, a text pop. You source or create these. I don't hand them to you
* Caption it so it reads on a phone
* Reframe to vertical 9:16 and deliver it ready to post
* Build the hook frame where one is needed
* One finished reel per weekday to start, more once you're up to speed
**Where This Goes**
Once you're solid on reels the role grows into long-form YouTube. 8 to 20 minute talking head plus screen recording videos in the same style, plus thumbnails. Pay goes up with it. I'd rather grow one person than hire twice.
**What You Need to Be Good At**
* **Timeline editing** in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut. Tell me which one and how long you've used it
* **Motion graphics that don't look like a preset.** Keyframed position and scale at minimum. After Effects is a big plus
* **Sourcing your own visuals.** You can find or record a screen capture of an AI tool, grab a clean UI shot, and pick a meme that actually lands
* **Pacing.** You know when a beat is dead and you cut it without being asked
* **Captions** that read on a phone
* **English good enough to follow the meaning.** You're d
* **Daily reliability.** Same day or next day on one reel
**Nice to Have**
* You already watch AI tool, automation, or crypto content and you know what n8n, Make, ChatGPT, Claude, or TradingView look like on screen
* You've edited for a personal brand before
**Pay**
I looked at what comparable roles on this platform are paying this month and priced against that.
* **Paid test task: $30 USD**, paid on delivery whether or not we move forward. One raw take, one finished reel
* **Trial week: $25 USD per finished reel**
* **Ongoing: $700 to $1,000 USD per month** full time, based on the test and your experience
* **30 day review** with a raise into the $1,000 to $1,300 range for strong reliable work, and again when long-form gets added
* Paid by Wise or GCash, your choice. Twice a month if you prefer
**How to Apply**
Answer all 5. Skip one and I don't reply.
1. Which of the five accounts above is closest to work you've already made? Name it, then link the reel of yours that proves it.
2. Send 2 or 3 links to short-form videos you edited where the visuals are heavy. B-roll, screen recordings, graphics, memes. Not a showreel montage. Actual finished posts.
3. Pick one of those. Tell me one visual you added that wasn't in the raw footage, and why you chose it. Two sentences.
4. What software do you use and how many years?
5. What's your monthly rate in USD for full time, and how many reels per week can you deliver at your best quality?
Start your message with the word REELS so I know you read this.
