JOB OVERVIEW

Reclaimed Media is looking for a talented, reliable short-form video editor to help edit high-performing content for creators, experts, founders, and personal brands.

This is not a role where I am looking for someone to simply add captions and cut pauses.

I want someone who understands how short-form content keeps attention.

You should be able to take raw footage, a script, editing notes, and reference videos and turn them into clean, engaging videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

What You’ll Be Doing
Edit short-form videos, typically 30–90 seconds
Remove unnecessary pauses and tighten pacing
Add clean captions and text emphasis
Add B-roll, screenshots, graphics, sound effects, and visual pattern interrupts when appropriate
Follow reference videos and specific editing direction
Organize project files and revisions
Make revisions based on feedback
Export videos correctly for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Help create repeatable editing styles for different personal brands
What I’m Looking For

You are a great fit if you:

Already edit short-form social media content
Understand hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling
Can match an editing reference without needing every detail explained
Have strong visual taste
Notice small details
Communicate clearly
Meet deadlines
Take feedback well
Are organized and dependable
Want consistent long-term work rather than random one-off projects

Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar professional editing software is required.

Important

I do not need extremely over-edited videos.

The goal is to make the content better, not distract from the person speaking.

You should understand when a video needs more editing and when it needs less.
