JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to help us create high-quality content for our home service brands.

We are a painting, flooring, and roofing company, and the main focus of this role is turning raw footage into short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. At the same time, we would also like someone who can help with some long-form editing when needed.

We want to build strong digital content around our business, our projects, and our team. This will include things like:
-Podcast clips
-Talking-head videos
-Educational content
-Project-site videos
-Before-and-after content
-Branding and company growth content

For example, if we record a podcast or longer video, we want you to turn it into as many strong short clips as possible, while also being able to help edit full-length videos when needed.

We like content that is clean, engaging, and educational, similar to the style of business content creators like Mike Andes. We want videos that hold attention, teach something useful, and help build our brand over time.

What you’ll be doing:
-Edit raw footage into short-form content for social media
-Turn long-form videos, podcasts, and interviews into multiple clips
-Help edit some full-length videos for YouTube or other platforms
-Add captions, hooks, transitions, zooms, music, and graphics when needed
-Find the best ---------- nts that will perform well online
-Organize footage and keep editing projects clean and efficient
-Follow our brand style while also bringing creative ideas

What we are looking for:
-Strong short-form editing skills
-Ability to also handle some long-form content
-Understands pacing, hooks, retention, and social media editing
-Can turn one long video into many strong short clips
-Good English communication
-Reliable and responsive
-Strong attention to detail
-Able to meet deadlines consistently

Big bonus if you have experience with:
-Podcasts
-YouTube content
-Home service companies
-Painting, roofing, flooring, construction, remodeling, or real estate content
-Local service business marketing
-Educational or personal-brand style content
