We're expanding our team! Are you a talented video editor with a strong instinct for pacing, storytelling, and shot selection? I’m looking for a highly skilled editor to join our team of 3 editors to help finalize fast-paced, engaging social media videos for my platforms.

This is not a full start-to-finish editing role. This is a specialized storytelling and clip-arranging role within an existing editing pipeline.

In most cases, I already write the script, record the voiceover, pre-select or chop down the footage, and often build the first 15 to 20 seconds of the video myself. Another tea ---------- mber handles color grading and captioning.

Your role is to take the strongest pre-selected footage and arrange it into a compelling visual sequence that aligns with the voiceover and tells the story in the most engaging way possible.

This role is ideal for someone who is excellent at storytelling, pacing, visual rhythm, and choosing the best ---------- nts, not just someone who knows how to use editing software.

About the Role

You’ll be stepping in during the middle of the editing process and working with:

pre-chopped footage
voiceovers
examples of my editing style
sometimes an already-built intro or partial edit

From there, your job is to shape the footage into a strong 1-2 minute video that flows naturally, supports the voiceover, and uses only the strongest available shots in the most effective order.

You will not be responsible for:

scripting
building the concept from scratch
editing the full video from beginning to end
color grading
final captions

This is a per-project role that pays $35 USD per video. You can expect steady ongoing work, typically starting at around 3 videos per week. There is opportunity to take on more over time for someone who is reliable, efficient, and consistently does strong work.

I’m looking for someone who:

- has strong editorial judgment

- knows how to make a video feel engaging and intentional

- can choose only the strongest shots, not just usable ones

- understands pacing, rhythm, and story flow

- can closely match my editing style

- is dependable and able to complete work on time

- is comfortable working within an existing team workflow

A lot of editors know how to cut clips together. I am specifically looking for someone who knows how to make a short-form video feel compelling!

Key Responsibilities

- Arrange video clips to align with pre-recorded voiceovers

- Review pre-chopped footage and select the strongest ---------- nts

- Build engaging 1 to 2.5 minute videos that feel cohesive and visually compelling

- Maintain strong pacing and visual variety throughout the video

- Incorporate screen recordings, maps, and on-screen text when needed

- Match the style, rhythm, and structure of my existing content

- Collaborate via DaVinci for seamless project sharing and revisions
