I run Motion Works Studios,
an Australian video production company making content for trade and service businesses — builders, electricians, landscapers. We film everything; you edit it.
What the work looks like: you receive a project file with 15 short-form sequences and 1 long-form sequence already roughly assembled, plus all footage, a shot list, scene breakdowns, an Editor's Brief, and our Editing Style Guide that shows exactly how we want subtitles, graphics, and transitions done. You take assemblies to finished, polished edits. This is finishing work with clear direction — not "here's 4 hours of footage, figure it out."
You need:
Adobe Premiere Pro (our projects are Premiere timelines), strong short-form instincts (Reels/TikTok pacing, clean animated subtitles, tasteful graphics), reliable internet, and the ability to hit deadlines without chasing.
Pay:
per-project to start (test task is paid) — approx US$10–13 per finished short and US$55–80 per long-form. The monthly salary listed is what this looks like at current volume; it grows as the studio takes on more clients, moving to a monthly retainer for the right person. Long-term role — I want one editor who becomes part of the studio, not a one-off gig.
How to apply: start your application with the word FRAMES so I know you read this. Include 3 links to short-form edits you personally made (published links preferred) and one sentence on your subtitle workflow. Applications without FRAMES or without links are ignored.
