JOB OVERVIEW

ZEW Media is a growing Chicago-based content agency producing high-volume short-form content for brands, real estate teams, and founders.

We’re looking for a skilled video editor who is:

• Fast and detail-oriented
• Strong with short-form pacing and retention
• Clean with captions and typography
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Comfortable in After Effects for subtle motion graphics
• Reliable with consistent weekly output

This role is primarily focused on short-form social content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), with occasional higher-end creative or long-form projects.

We are not looking for heavy transition edits or trend-based template styles. We value clean pacing, strong hooks, clarity, and subtle, professional motion design.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form social content (30–90 seconds)
• Add clean captions and subtle motion graphics
• Repurpose long-form content into short clips
• Implement revision notes efficiently
• Maintain organized project files

Occasionally:
• Assist with YouTube edits or higher-level creative projects

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Solid working knowledge of After Effects (text animation, lower thirds, light motion graphics)
• Basic to intermediate Photoshop skills (thumbnails, end cards, simple graphic assets)
• Understanding of retention-focused editing
• Organized workflow and file management
• Clear communication and consistent availability

Compensation

Part-time monthly contract
$1,000 – $1,500 per month (based on experience and speed)
