JOB OVERVIEW

We're a growing content brand producing daily short-form video content across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. We run two accounts, one focused on music industry content and one on events management content, and we're looking for a skilled, reliable video editor to join our team on a part-time basis.

You'll be editing 2-3 short-form videos per day for each account (4-6 videos total daily). We provide the raw footage and full scripts with editing guidance. Your job is to turn them into scroll-stopping, polished videos that retain viewers and drive engagement.

Pay: $6-8 USD/hour (20 hours per week), depending on experience and portfolio quality.

What You'll Be Doing

Edit 2-3 short-form videos per day for each account (4-6 videos total daily, under 90 seconds each) across music industry and events management
Add captions/subtitles, text overlays, transitions, and sound effects using CapCut
Follow our scripts and editing notes to match the pacing, hooks, and retention beats we've mapped out
Format and export videos optimised for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
Schedule all finished videos via our two Buffer accounts (we'll provide access and posting schedules)
Maintain a consistent visual style and brand identity across both accounts
Deliver edits on time with a reliable daily turnaround
Communicate proactively: flag issues, ask questions, suggest improvements

What We Provide

Raw filmed footage (talking head / on-camera content)
Detailed scripts with hook structure, beat-by-beat pacing, and editing cues
Brand guidelines and visual references
Access to our two Buffer accounts with posting schedules
Clear feedback and a collaborative working relationship

Requirements

Proficient in CapCut (this is our primary editing tool and you must be confident with it)
Experience editing short-form vertical video (Reels/TikTok/Shorts format)
Strong sense of pacing and retention: you understand what keeps people watching
Ability to add clean captions, text animations, and on-screen elements
Experience with colour grading talking-head footage
Experience with social media scheduling tools (Buffer)
Reliable internet connection and the ability to deliver 4-6 videos per day consistently
Strong English communication skills (written)

Basic motion graphics or animation skills
