Kakudai Media is a UK agency that runs Instagram for models.
You edit Instagram content of female models: fitness, fashion, swimwear and lifestyle clips, the kind you see on Instagram every day. No nudity. You must be 18 or over and comfortable with this kind of content.
THE WORK
You edit short vertical videos from raw phone clips our models film. There are two kinds, about half each.
1) Music reels (mostly 7 to 15 seconds)
- It is the model on camera, a trending sound, and one short line of text.
- You pick the best seconds, choose the sound, cut on the beat, and write the hook line.
- Outfit changes, before-and-after cuts, lip-syncs, get-ready-with-me, gym and lifestyle clips.
2) Talking reels (mostly 15 to 30 seconds)
- The model talks to the camera, usually from a short script.
- You cut out the pauses, put a hook in the first second, add accurate subtitles, and keep the pace up.
For both kinds:
- You make two or three different versions of a reel for testing: a different first frame, a different hook line, a different sound.
- You choose the cover frame.
- You deliver a clean file without the song, a preview with it, the name of the sound, and the hook text, in a shared folder, named the way we ask. Our posting side adds the sound inside Instagram.
WHAT THIS JOB IS NOT
- You do not post and you do not manage accounts.
HOW MUCH
About 10 to 15 new reels a day once you are up to speed, fewer in your first two weeks, plus quick versions of the best ones. We set the real number together in your first two weeks, based on how long the work takes you.
YOU WILL NEED
- Short edits you made yourself, of both kinds: a person on camera cut to music with text on screen, and a person talking with subtitles. Fashion, fitness, lifestyle or model content is ideal.
- CapCut on a computer. We pay for CapCut Pro.
- A feel for trends. You scroll Reels and TikTok every day, you notice a sound while it is still rising, and you can turn a trend around the same day.
- Good English. You write the hook lines, and your subtitles must match what is said, with no typos.
- You know what makes Instagram stop showing a reel to new people, and you flag a risky clip instead of using it. We give you our style guide and our list of words never to put on screen.
- Clean exports: 1080x1920, no borders, no app watermark, text where the buttons do not cover it.
- A computer that handles video smoothly, stable internet with a backup, and a plan for power cuts.
- You are reliable. If you are behind, you tell us before the deadline, not after.
THE DETAILS
- Pay: $4 to $5 an hour depending on skill, 48 hours a week (about $830 to $1,040 a month). Paid twice a month by bank transfer.
- Hours: 2:00pm to 11:00pm Philippine time, Monday to Saturday, with a one-hour break. A fixed shift, Sundays off.
- A paid two-week trial first, then full-time.
- Your rate is reviewed after three months.
- Long-term. We want someone for years, not weeks.
HOW TO APPLY
Answer all 9 points, in this order. Applications that skip a point are not read.
1. Start your message with the words "reel check".
2. Links to 3 short edits you made: two with NO talking (a person on camera, music, text on screen) and one where a person talks and you added the subtitles. One line each on exactly what you did.
3. Your editing software, and your computer (model and RAM).
4. Name two sounds that are trending on Reels this week, and say what kind of clip you would use each one for.
5. A model sends a 10-second clip of herself walking into the gym. Write three different hook lines you would put on screen. Keep each under 8 words.
6. Name three things that make Instagram stop showing a reel to new people.
7. Honestly: how many reels can you finish in an 8-hour day from clips we supply, if half are 10-second music reels and half are 20-second talking reels with subtitles?
8. Confirm three things: you are comfortable editing fitness, fashion and swimwear content of female models; you are 18 or over; and you can work 2:00pm to 11:00pm Philippine time, Monday to Saturday. Then tell us your expected hourly rate in US dollars and how you want to be paid.
9. Your internet provider and real upload speed, your backup if the internet goes down, and what you do if the power goes out.
Everyone who answers all 9 points gets a reply. We choose from your edits and your answers.
