The Role
We are hiring a full-time short-form video editor and content producer to turn founder-recorded footage into polished, high-retention videos for YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
Our goal is to publish at least once per day. Once our editing style is established, you will help us produce approximately seven publish-ready short-form videos per week (if not more) and maintain a content buffer so we can post consistently.
This is not a basic “add captions and export” role.
You should be comfortable taking raw talking-head footage and building the supporting visual story using screen recordings, product interfaces, website screenshots, approved B-roll, animated captions, graphics, music, and sound effects. You are also expected to make the scripts so that we can create consistently high-value content on these 2 platforms around GEO/AI.
These examples show the quality and style we want:
What You’ll Do
-- Edit 30–60 second vertical videos from raw founder footage.
-- Create strong visual hooks within the first one to two seconds.
-- Remove pauses, filler, repetition, and anything that slows down the video.
-- Use frequent visual changes to hold attention without making the edit feel chaotic.
-- Combine talking-head footage with relevant screenshots, screen recordings, software interfaces, diagrams, and approved B-roll (such as AI animations from Claude Code or ChatGPT)
-- Create top-and-bottom split-screen layouts similar to the reference videos.
-- Add accurate, animated captions with highlighted keywords.
-- Use zooms, callouts, masks, highlights, and simple motion graphics to direct attention.
-- Clean and balance spoken audio, background music, and sound effects.
-- Perform basic color correction and consistent visual treatment.
-- Export upload-ready 9:16 videos for YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn so we can cross post
-- Prepare video titles, filenames, thumbnails or cover frames, and basic upload materials.
-- Organize source files, project files, and finished exports cleanly.
-- Help maintain a scheduled queue of content so publishing does not stop.
-- Suggest improvements to hooks, pacing, and visual storytelling when you see an opportunity.
What We’ll Provide
-- Raw founder footage.
-- Topic briefs, or clear content direction.
-- Brand guidelines, fonts, colors, and visual references.
-- Product screenshots and screen recordings when needed.
-- Examples of the editing style we want.
-- Direct, organized feedback.
-- A consistent workflow and the opportunity for a long-term role.
What Success Looks Like
-- Within your first 30 days:
-- You can reliably match the quality and pacing of the reference videos.
-- At least one strong edit is moving through the workflow every business day.
-- We are producing approximately seven finished videos per week.
-- First drafts are normally delivered within 24 hours.
-- Captions and technical terms are accurate.
-- Files are organized and easy for the rest of the team to find.
-- Revision rounds become smaller as you learn the brand.
-- We begin maintaining a seven-day publishing buffer.
Working Schedule
The role is designed to work asynchronously.
-- Raw footage and instructions will typically be handed off near the end of the Pacific Time workday. You can edit during normal Philippines daytime hours and return the first cut by the following Pacific morning.
-- You will not be expected to work a full overnight U.S. shift. We care more about dependable handoffs, clear communication, and meeting agreed deadlines.
How to Apply
Start your application with the words:
CHEERS DAILY
Then include:
-- A short introduction.
-- Links to your three most relevant short-form edits. Please do not send only a general portfolio homepage.
-- Which portfolio example is closest to our reference style and why.
-- How long you would expect a polished 45-second video in this style to take.
-- Your monthly salary expectation.
-- Your availability and earliest possible start date.
-- In three to five sentences, explain how you would improve retention in one of the three reference videos above.
Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be reviewed.
