Short-Form Video Editor (CapCut) - UK Businesses - Long Term, Room To Grow
I run a few businesses in the UK and I'm hiring one editor to handle all the short-form video across them. Not an agency, no clients, no account managers. You'd be working directly with me.
The three brands:
A premium garden design and landscaping company in Leicestershire, selling high-end garden builds to homeowners.
A reformer Pilates studio, selling memberships and classes locally.
My personal brand on business coaching, where I talk about growing a business, hiring, systems and the realities of running several companies at once. The audience is other business owners, so the tone is punchier and more direct than the other two.
Three audiences, three tones, one standard. This is a long-term role, not a one-off gig.
The work
Minimum 10 videos per week: 4 landscaping, 3 Pilates, 3 business coaching. Most run 30 to 60 seconds, vertical 9:16, built for Instagram Reels.
The landscaping and coaching content is mostly talking head footage of me. The coaching videos in particular live or die on the first three seconds, so you'll need a feel for where the hook sits and how hard to cut into it.
You'll get a Google Drive folder with the raw footage plus a separate folder of b-roll (finished gardens, builds in progress, drone shots, studio footage). I'll give you the topic and the angle for each video.
Your job: cut the talking head so it flows naturally, strip out pauses, mistakes and retakes, lay the right b-roll over the right moments, add music, add subtitles styled to feel native to Instagram, finish with the end card.
Where the footage doesn't cover something, I want you generating AI clips to bridge the gap and hold the story together. That matters most on the coaching content, where there's less usable b-roll to fall back on. If you haven't done this before, say so honestly. I'd rather teach the right person than hire the wrong one.
These videos exist to bring in enquiries. Hook, pacing and clarity beat effects every time.
Tools
You must be fluent in CapCut. That's what we edit in. Comfort with an AI video generation tool is a strong plus.
Pay
£14 per finished minute of edited video (roughly $18 USD). At the minimum of 10 videos a week at around 60 seconds each, that's about £140/$186 a week, roughly £600/$800 a month, paid monthly via Western Union or PayPal.
Volume goes up as the businesses grow, and so does your income.
Where this goes
I'm launching a YouTube channel soon for the landscaping brand, starting with short YouTube videos, and that becomes part of this role. Longer edits, different pacing, thumbnails and titles to think about.
Beyond that, for the right person: social media planning, content calendars and scheduling across all three brands. If you want to grow into running the content side rather than staying an editor forever, tell me that in your application.
Who this suits
You edit short-form vertical video and you're good at it. You have taste. You can follow a detailed brief closely and still make sensible creative calls inside it. You hit deadlines without being chased. Your written English is clear enough that I can brief you in writing and trust it lands.
I'm in the UK, 7 hours behind the Philippines. Work whatever hours suit you as long as the videos land on time. I'll need you contactable a few hours a week in your evening for calls.
