JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a short-form video editor who understands why content goes viral, not just how to edit.

This role is for someone who actively follows TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts trends, understands pacing, hooks, captions, and retention — and can apply that knowledge to real client content.

You’ll be working with artists and creative brands, producing content designed to stop the scroll and keep viewers watching.

Responsibilities

Edit vertical short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

Create engaging hooks within the first 1–3 seconds

Add clean, readable, burned-in captions optimized for mobile viewing

Apply trend-aware editing styles (cuts, zooms, pacing, timing with music/audio)

Follow creative briefs, style guides, and templates

Stay updated on current viral trends and algorithm changes

Deliver consistent, on-time edits

Make revisions based on feedback

Required Skills

Proven experience editing short-form vertical video

Strong understanding of TikTok / Reels / Shorts content styles

Familiarity with social media algorithms and viewer retention

Proficiency in CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro

Good communication skills

Reliable internet and availability for ongoing work

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience editing for musicians, artists, or creators

Knowledge of trending sounds, ---------- s, and formats

Understanding of hooks, CTAs, and watch-time optimization
