About PitchLift PitchLift is Boston's premier startup pitch competition where founders get 30 seconds in a real elevator to pitch real investors for a chance to win $100,000. Monthly events. Real stakes. Compelling stories. Expanding nationally.

The Role We're looking for a creative short form editor who lives and breathes Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn video. You'll take raw event footage and turn it into scroll-stopping content that builds anticipation before each monthly show and captures the energy after. This is a storytelling role as much as an editing role — you need to find the human ---------- nt inside the pitch.

Story Beats & Content Pillars
1. Event Recap Content (post-event, within 48 hours)
Full event highlight reel — the energy, the crowd, the elevator ---------- nts
Top 3 most compelling pitches of the night
Winner announcement and reaction ---------- nt
Host and judge highlights
2. Founder Spotlights (between events, 1-2x per week)
Who is this founder and what are they building?
Their backstory — why this idea, why now
What happened when they stepped in the elevator
Where are they now — post-event follow up on gold key winners
3. Winner Features (ongoing)
Deep dive on each gold key winner
Their pitch ---------- nt — what worked
What winning means for their startup
Progress updates as they advance toward the championship
4. Behind the Scenes (between events, 1x per week)
Production setup — the elevator, the cameras, the crew
Host prep — AV and Rob getting ready
Judge reveals — building anticipation for who's in the room
Venue walkthrough
5. Show Promo Content (leading up to each monthly event)
Countdown content — 2 weeks out, 1 week out, 3 days out, day of
RSVP urgency — seats filling up, don't miss it
Founder application deadline reminders
Teaser clips from previous events to drive new audience

What You'll Do
Post-event (within 48 hours):
Cut highlight reels from each PitchLift event
Create founder spotlight clips — the pitches, the reactions, the key ---------- nts
Pull the most compelling 30-60 second ---------- nts for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Create a same-night or next-day recap reel
Between events (2-3x per week):
Build anticipation content leading up to the next show
Founder stories — who they are, what they're building, why it matters
Behind the scenes content from hosts, judges, and production
Countdown and FOMO content driving RSVPs and applications

What We're Looking For
Strong eye for storytelling — you know how to find the emotional hook in raw footage
Experience editing short form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Fast turnaround — post-event content needs to be ready within 48 hours
Strong ability to use Da Vinci Resolve, CapCut, and Photoshop
Understanding of startup and entrepreneurship culture
Ability to maintain consistent brand voice and aesthetic across platforms
Bonus: experience with captions, motion graphics, or sound design

Deliverables
2-3 pieces of short form content per day between events (weekdays only)
2 highlight clips within 48 hours of each monthly event
Monthly sizzle reel for promotional use
1 full length episode for YouTube Monthly (15-40 minutes)

Compensation $500 USD Monthly
