JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented and creative Short Form Content Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for editing and producing engaging short form video content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels.

Our content focuses on the AI community — we primarily create talking head videos and ---------- -style videos covering AI news, trends, tools, and culture. If you're plugged into the AI space and know how to make informative content entertaining and shareable, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into polished, attention-grabbing short form videos (15-90 seconds)
- Edit talking head videos with dynamic cuts, zooms, and engaging pacing
- Create and edit ---------- -style videos related to AI trends, tools, and culture
- Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, and motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement
- Sync video edits with trending audio, music, and sound effects
- Apply color correction, transitions, and visual effects to maintain a consistent brand aesthetic
- Optimize content formatting and aspect ratios for each platform (9:16 vertical format)
- Stay up to date with current social media trends, viral formats, and editing styles within the AI community
- Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm creative concepts and ideas
- Deliver edited content within agreed-upon deadlines
- Manage and organize media assets and project files

Requirements:
- Proven experience editing short form content for social media platforms
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience editing talking head and ---------- -style content
- Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and what makes content go viral
- Familiarity with the AI community, AI tools, and tech culture is a big plus
- Ability to add engaging motion graphics, text animations, and visual effects
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for pacing, timing, and storytelling
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fast turnaround time and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to take creative direction
- A portfolio or samples of previously edited short form content is required

Nice to Have:
- Experience with thumbnail design and graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of SEO and social media growth strategies
- Experience working with content creators, influencers, or brands
- Basic understanding of animation and motion design
- Interest in or knowledge of AI, machine learning, and emerging tech trends

Paid Trial Task:
As part of the application process, selected candidates will be asked to complete a short paid trial editing task. We will provide you with raw footage and a brief, and you will edit a short form video (30-60 seconds) based on our brand style. This trial is designed to assess your editing skills, creativity, and ability to follow direction. The trial task will be compensated, and by completing it, you agree that the final deliverable may be used by us across our social media platforms regardless of the hiring outcome.
