Full-Time | Remote – Philippines | Australian Business Hours
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Website & Conversion Optimisation Specialist to continuously improve the performance of a growing Australian e-commerce website.
This is not a basic Shopify admin, product-listing or graphic-design role.
Your job is to identify where customers are struggling, find opportunities to improve the shopping experience, recommend solutions, implement improvements where appropriate and measure whether they worked.
Responsibilities
- Analyse the customer journey from landing page through checkout.
- Identify conversion friction and usability problems.
- Improve product pages, collection pages and navigation.
- Improve product discovery, filters and search.
- Review mobile usability and conversion.
- Analyse add-to-cart, checkout and conversion performance.
- Identify reasons customers may hesitate or abandon purchases.
- Improve product information, trust signals, delivery information and customer confidence.
- Improve cross-sells, upsells, bundles and related-product merchandising.
- Review competitor and leading e-commerce websites for opportunities.
- Use Shopify Analytics, GA4 and other available data to identify problems.
- Recommend and implement CRO improvements.
- Assist with A/B testing where appropriate.
- Work with our technical/marketing team where development is required.
- Measure results after changes are implemented.
- Maintain a prioritised CRO/improvement backlog.
- Proactively identify opportunities rather than waiting for management to assign every task.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong hands-on Shopify experience.
- Genuine CRO / conversion optimisation experience.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce customer journeys.
- Experience analysing conversion funnels.
- Strong mobile UX understanding.
- Shopify Analytics experience.
- GA4 experience preferred.
- Commercial thinking — understand that the objective is increased sales and gross profit, not simply making the website look better.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Able to explain why you recommend a change.
- Able to measure results after implementation.
- Good written English.
- Proactive and comfortable working independently.
Highly Regarded
Experience with:
- large Shopify catalogues;
- home improvement;
- furniture/appliances;
- considered-purchase products;
- A/B testing;
- heatmaps/session recordings;
- Shopify apps;
- bundles and upsells;
- checkout optimisation;
- technical Shopify work.
What Success Looks Like
We care about measurable improvement, including:
- Conversion rate
- Add-to-cart rate
- Checkout completion
- Revenue per visitor
- Average order value
- Product discovery
- Mobile performance
- Reduction in customer friction
You will be expected to identify problems, recommend solutions and measure the outcome.
