JOB OVERVIEW

Long-Term | High-Ticket E-commerce

We are a growing U.S. high-ticket, multi-brand Shopify store selling products across categories such as solar equipment, portable power, batteries, e-bikes, spas, saunas, shelters, BBQ equipment, outdoor products, and more.

This is not a typical low-cost DTC store. Many of our products cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, and we work with established brands that may have large product catalogs.

We are looking for an experienced Shopify SEO & Merchandising Specialist who understands how SEO, collections, brand pages, products, blogs, internal linking, merchandising, and Shopify theme structure work together.

We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position, not just a short SEO project.

What You Will Work On
Build and improve Shopify collections, brand pages, and category structure
Improve SEO titles, metadata, headings, collection content, URLs, images, and on-page SEO
Create strategic internal links between collections, products, brands, and blogs
Help customers move naturally from brand → collection → product
Review existing blogs and add relevant links to products and collections
Research keywords, competitors, search intent, rankings, and content gaps
Work with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalent tools
Identify broken links, redirects, indexing issues, duplicate content, and technical SEO opportunities
Help determine which brands/products deserve more visibility based on search demand, sales, competition, and seasonality
Update collections, navigation, landing pages, homepage sections, and featured products for important seasons and sales periods
Make safe Shopify theme edits when needed

Experience with Shopify Liquid, HTML/CSS, theme sections/templates, metafields, and technical SEO is strongly preferred.

We are especially interested in candidates who understand SEO for large multi-brand catalogs and high-ticket customer journeys, not only SEO for small or low-cost stores.

Different brands and categories may require different strategies. We want someone who can think critically instead of applying the same template everywhere.

Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Schedule & Compensation

We expect to start at approximately 15–20 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours as the role grows and during important seasonal periods.

Starting compensation: $4–$6 USD/hour, negotiable based on experience, portfolio, technical ability, and demonstrated results.

Strong performance and increased responsibility can lead to higher compensation over time.

How to Apply

Your application subject line must be exactly: SEO READY

Video Proof Is Required

The most important part of your application is showing us real work you personally completed.

Please send a 2–4 minute Loom, Google Drive, or similar screen-recording video showing a real Shopify/e-commerce project you worked on.

In the video, show us the actual work and explain:

What problem or opportunity you identified
What you personally changed
Why you made those changes
What SEO tools or data you used
How you approached collections, products, internal linking, content, or theme structure
What result you achieved, if measurable
What you would improve today

We are particularly interested in seeing examples of:

Collection/category optimization
Internal linking between collections and products
Brand/category architecture
Blog-to-product or blog-to-collection linking
Ahrefs/Semrush/Search Console research
Shopify theme/Liquid work
Technical SEO improvements
Seasonal merchandising or landing pages

We care more about your thinking and what you actually did than a polished portfolio.

Please also include:

2–3 stores/pages you personally worked on
Your exact role on those projects
SEO tools you are experienced with
Your Shopify/Liquid/theme experience
Any measurable SEO results you can share
Your expected hourly rate in USD
Your weekly availability

Previous work may be reviewed and validated, so only submit projects you genuinely worked on.

Applications without a video showing and explaining previous work will not be prioritized.

Shortlisted candidates may receive a small paid test using a real section of our Shopify store.

We are looking for someone who can analyze, explain, implement, measure, and continuously improve, and who wants to grow with us long term.
