JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing US-based beauty and fashion ecommerce brand looking for a Shopify Ecommerce Operator / CRO Specialist.

This is NOT a basic Shopify VA or product uploading role.

We are looking for someone who can look at ecommerce data, identify why customers are not converting, and independently improve the website to increase conversion rate, AOV, revenue, and repeat purchases.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

1. CRO / Conversion Rate Optimization
- Analyze and improve homepage, collection pages and product pages
- Improve product titles, benefits, CTA, reviews, UGC, FAQ, shipping/returns and trust elements
- Optimize mobile shopping experience
- Improve Add-to-Cart, Cart, Upsell, Bundle and Checkout experience
- Identify friction in the customer journey
- Run or propose conversion experiments and track results

2. Ecommerce Data Analysis
You must be comfortable analyzing:
- Sessions
- Conversion Rate
- Add-to-Cart Rate
- Reached Checkout
- Purchase Rate
- AOV
- Bounce Rate
- Returning Customer Rate

You should be able to use Shopify Analytics and GA4 to identify where customers are dropping off and explain WHY.

3. Product & Merchandising Strategy
- Identify best sellers, traffic products, profit products and high-ticket products
- Manage collections and product positioning
- Analyze SKU performance
- Recommend which products should be promoted, bundled, discounted or removed
- Help improve inventory sell-through

4. Shopify Store Management
You should be confident with:
- Products
- Collections
- Tags
- Metafields
- Variants / SKU
- Inventory
- Discounts
- Gift Cards
- Draft Orders
- Shipping
- Shopify Markets
- Customers and Orders
- Shopify Theme Editor

Basic HTML / CSS / Liquid knowledge is a plus.

5. Klaviyo / Email Marketing
Experience with the following flows is strongly preferred:

- Abandoned Cart
- Browse Abandonment
- Checkout Abandonment
- Post Purchase
- Review Request
- Winback

6. Promotions & AOV Growth
You should understand how to create and analyze:

- Abandoned Cart Offers

7. Basic Shopify SEO
- Product Titles
- Meta Titles
- Meta Descriptions
- URLs
- Alt Text
- Internal Links
- Collection SEO
- Broken Links / 404s

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 2+ years hands-on Shopify experience
- Previous DTC ecommerce experience
- Beauty, fashion, jewelry, cosmetics or accessories experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of CRO and ecommerce funnels
- Comfortable using Shopify Analytics and GA4
- Klaviyo experience strongly preferred
- Able to work independently without waiting for the founder to assign every task
- Strong attention to detail and visual taste
- Good written English

IMPORTANT:

We are NOT looking for someone whose experience is mainly:
- Uploading products
- Processing orders
- Writing product descriptions
- Basic customer service

We are looking for someone who understands ecommerce growth.
