We are looking for a senior Ecommerce Operations Manager with strong Shopify experience to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing DTC brand. This is a full-time, remote freelance role focused on keeping the online store, fulfillment pipeline, and operational systems running smoothly while improving speed, accuracy, compliance, and customer experience.

Responsibilities
-Manage the daily operations of the Shopify store to ensure listings, pricing, promotions, and overall store performance are accurate and up to date
-Oversee the full order process from checkout to dispatch, tracking, returns, and issue resolution with a focus on speed and accuracy
-Build, document, and improve SOPs across inventory management, warehouse workflows, and 3PL coordination
-Forecast demand and manage stock levels across SKUs to avoid stockouts and reduce excess inventory
-Track and improve core operational KPIs such as fulfillment time, shipping cost, COGS, return rate, and customer satisfaction
-Manage the operational tech stack, including Shopify apps and key integrations, to automate workflows and reduce manual tasks
-Work closely with marketing to support campaign launches, seasonal promotions, and subscription or recurring order programs
-Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, packaging partners, and 3PLs while maintaining service quality as the business grows
-Identify operational issues that affect customer experience and implement fixes that improve retention and satisfaction
-Ensure operations follow relevant Australian compliance requirements for regulated health or therapeutic products sold online
Must-Haves
-5 to 8+ years of ecommerce operations experience, ideally in regulated categories such as health, wellness, supplements, or similar
-Strong hands-on Shopify experience, including admin workflows, app ecosystem knowledge, and platform limitations
-Proven experience managing fulfillment operations, inventory planning, and 3PL relationships at scale in Australia
-Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making
-Experience with ecommerce operations tools such as ShipStation, Starshipit, Cin7, TradeGecko, QuickBooks Commerce, or -similar platforms
-Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams and meet deadlines
-Process improvement mindset with a track record of identifying issues and implementing long-term fixes
-Working knowledge of Australian compliance requirements for regulated health or therapeutic goods sold online, including TGA-related considerations
Nice to Haves
-Experience in telehealth, pharmaceutical, medtech, or other regulated industries
-Familiarity with subscription or recurring ecommerce operations and logistics
-Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem tools like Klaviyo, Recharge, or loyalty platforms
-Experience working in founder-led or high-growth businesses where systems and processes are still being built
