## Shopify E-Commerce Virtual Assistant – Website Design, Product Migration & Research

We are looking for an experienced **Shopify Virtual Assistant / E-Commerce Specialist** to help us build a new Shopify website for our established grooming supply business, **Groomers Friend**.

We currently have a Wix website at ---------- with approximately 300 products, and we are moving the store to Shopify. We need someone who can do much more than basic data entry. We are looking for someone who understands Shopify, e-commerce product organization, website design, product research, and how to create a professional online store.

### Primary Responsibilities

**Wix to Shopify Product Migration**

* Review approximately 300 products currently listed on our Wix website
* Determine which products we still carry and which should be removed
* Transfer approved products from Wix to Shopify
* Properly organize product titles, descriptions, SKUs, variants, pricing, images, and other product information
* Create appropriate Shopify collections and categories

**Product & Pricing Research**

* Research products online using manufacturer websites and other reputable retailers
* Determine the current suggested or typical retail price for each product
* Identify products that may have been discontinued or replaced
* Compare our existing product information with current manufacturer information
* Keep research organized in Google Sheets or Excel

**Shopify Website Design**

* Help design and build a clean, modern, professional Shopify website
* Create and organize navigation menus, collections, categories, and product pages
* Make sure the website is easy for customers to browse and purchase from
* Optimize the website for both desktop and mobile
* Help configure Shopify settings and appropriate apps when needed
* Maintain a consistent professional design throughout the website

**Product Page Optimization**

* Clean up and improve product titles and descriptions
* Organize product images
* Make sure variants and options are configured correctly
* Add appropriate tags, collections, and product information
* Basic Shopify SEO optimization, including page titles, descriptions, image alt text, and URLs

### Required Experience

You should have:

* Strong experience working with **Shopify**
* Experience building or managing a Shopify store with **hundreds of products**
* Experience uploading and organizing large product catalogs
* Experience with Shopify collections, variants, SKUs, tags, navigation, and product organization
* Experience with Shopify themes and website design
* Strong online research skills
* Good attention to detail
* Good written English
* Experience using Google Sheets or Excel
* Ability to work independently without needing constant supervision

Experience migrating a store from **Wix to Shopify** is a major plus.

### What We Are Looking For

We want someone who can look at an e-commerce store and think about how to make it better—not someone who simply waits for instructions for every individual task.

You should be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable researching products on your own, and able to identify problems or inconsistencies in our catalog.

This could become a **long-term position** for the right person. After the initial Shopify website is completed, there will be opportunities to continue helping us manage products, pricing, inventory, website updates, and other e-commerce tasks.
