JOB OVERVIEW

Build High-Impact Experiments for a $2M+/Month DTC Brand

Madam Muse is a fast-growing women’s intimates brand generating more than $2 million in monthly sales.

In the last 30 days, our Shopify store generated:

756,000+ sessions
47,000+ orders
5.94% conversion rate
$2.06M in total sales
61% growth compared to the previous period

This means your work will be tested on real volume.

A small conversion-rate improvement can create a significant financial impact.

We already have a large marketing team, a long backlog of test ideas and the budget to move quickly.

We are now looking for a strong Shopify Developer & CRO Specialist who can turn ideas into live experiments fast, build reliable custom functionality and gradually become an additional commercial brain inside the company.

The Role

You will work directly with the founders and become our main Shopify developer.

Most of your work will involve:

Building A/B tests in Intelligems
Creating custom sections and page variants
Building product pages, landing pages and homepage tests
Testing headlines, layouts, offers, bundles and page structure
Implementing winning test variants permanently
Fixing bugs and technical issues
Improving mobile UX and site speed
Integrating Shopify apps
Maintaining and improving our custom-coded theme
Supporting new product launches
Building pre-sell pages and advertorials
QA across mobile, desktop and different markets

Some tests may be as small as changing one line of copy.

Others may involve building a completely new product page, homepage or shopping experience.

We care more about speed, quality and commercial impact than the number of tests completed.

How We Work

We already have many test ideas.

You will receive brain dumps, references and clear commercial objectives from the founders and marketing team.

Your job is to turn those ideas into polished, reliable and mobile-first tests.

Over time, we also expect you to identify opportunities yourself and say:

“I noticed this friction point. We should test this.”

You do not need to be our main copywriter. We have a large marketing team.

However, you must understand direct-response marketing, customer psychology and the commercial purpose behind every test you build.

What We Are Looking For

You should be strong in:

Shopify theme development
Liquid
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
Custom Shopify sections and templates
Mobile-first development
Debugging
App integrations
Working safely in duplicated themes
QA and attention to detail
Using AI to develop faster without shipping unreliable code

Intelligems experience is a major advantage, but it is not required if you are technically strong and can learn quickly.

You must be able to work independently.

You should not need a complete Figma design for every task. Sometimes you will receive a rough idea, screenshot, competitor example or Loom and will be expected to turn it into a strong finished result.

Strong visual judgment is important.

This Role Is Not for You If
You only work from fully completed Figma files
You need every detail explained before starting
You cannot debug your own work
You rely on AI without understanding the code
Your work regularly breaks on mobile
You are slow with simple changes
You only have experience installing Shopify apps
You have no understanding of conversion or direct-response marketing
You disappear when something breaks
You outsource the work without disclosure
What Success Looks Like

A strong person in this role will:

Build tests quickly without sacrificing quality
Require very little rework
Catch mobile and UX issues before review
Turn rough ideas into polished experiments
Fix bugs independently
Communicate clearly through Loom and chat
Understand which details may affect conversion
Contribute useful test ideas over time
Become a reliable technical owner of our Shopify store

You will work directly with Ronan and Jesse, the owners of Madam Muse.

We mainly communicate through WhatsApp, Slack, Notion and Loom.

Timezone is flexible.

This is a full-time workload. We do not require exclusivity, but we do require reliable availability, fast turnaround times and consistent ownership.

Compensation

$2,000–$3,500 per month, depending on demonstrated ability, speed and experience.

There is room to grow beyond this range for someone who proves they can consistently deliver high-quality work and create meaningful commercial impact.

How to Apply

Begin your application with the exact words:

SHOPIFY GROWTH

Applications without these words will not be considered.

Then include:

A short introduction explaining your Shopify development experience.
Links to Shopify stores you personally worked on.
Examples of custom-coded sections, landing pages, product pages or experiments you personally built.
Any CRO or A/B-testing experience you have, including:
What you built
Why it was tested
The result, if available
A Loom video of no more than three minutes answering:

Based on madammuse.co, what are three things you would investigate or test first, and why?

Your:
Expected monthly compensation
Weekly availability
Current timezone
Earliest possible starting date

Generic or clearly AI-generated applications will be rejected.

We care more about evidence, speed, commercial thinking and quality of execution than polished language.

Hiring Process
Application and portfolio review
Short call with the founders
Paid practical test inside a duplicated Shopify theme
Final decision

The paid test will involve building a real Shopify variant from a commercial brief and recording a short Loom explaining your implementation and QA process.
