JOB OVERVIEW

Full-Time | Remote – Philippines | Australian Business Hours
We are a growing Australian retail and e-commerce business looking for an experienced Shopify Catalogue & Product Data Specialist to take ownership of product listings, product data accuracy and ongoing catalogue maintenance.
This is not a general VA or customer service role. We need someone who understands Shopify product administration and can independently maintain a large, detailed product catalogue.
Responsibilities
- Create and update Shopify product listings.
- Maintain product titles, descriptions and specifications.
- Manage SKUs, variants, pricing and compare-at pricing.
- Upload, organise and check product images.
- Maintain collections, tags and metafields.
- Maintain product options and related products.
- Check dimensions, finishes, technical specifications and other product information for accuracy.
- Identify missing, inconsistent or incorrect product data.
- Correct duplicate or incomplete listings.
- Maintain consistent product-page formatting.
- Assist with bundles, combined listings and product relationships.
- Apply basic on-page SEO principles.
- Maintain product-data spreadsheets where required.
- Perform regular catalogue quality checks.
- Obtain missing information rather than guessing.
- Identify opportunities to improve catalogue structure and efficiency.
- Work with management and other e-commerce staff on catalogue projects.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong hands-on Shopify Admin experience.
- Previous e-commerce product catalogue experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing variants, SKUs, collections and metafields.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Good written English.
- Comfortable working with technical product information.
- Able to manage repetitive work without sacrificing accuracy.
- Able to work independently and identify errors without being told.
- Strong organisation and follow-through.
Highly Regarded
Experience with:
- large Shopify catalogues;
- Shopify Combined Listings;
- product bundles;
- product options;
- basic SEO;
- image editing/Canva;
- home improvement;
- furniture;
- appliances;
- building products;
- bathroom/kitchen products.
Working Hours
Monday–Friday: Sydney business hours
Pay
US$4.50–6.00/hour depending on experience
I'm happy to pay toward the top of the range for someone who has genuinely managed a large Shopify catalogue and demonstrates excellent accuracy.
