About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Settlement Officer / Conveyancing Paralegal who can confidently manage files and handle settlements with minimal supervision. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepared and reconciled settlement figures for residential property transactions, including rate adjustments, mortgage payouts, statutory fees, and final settlement statements, ensuring accurate and timely electronic settlements.
Manage conveyancing files from preparation through to settlement (QLD)
Prepare and review settlement figures and adjustments, Invoicing
Handle PEXA settlements end-to-end
Liaise with banks, brokers, and clients
Monitor deadlines and ensure smooth settlement processes
Process trust and office payments
Manage settlement scheduling and maintain accurate file documentation
Handle post-settlement tasks and follow-ups
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in conveyancing / settlements
Strong knowledge of PEXA (essential)
Ability to prepare settlement figures accurately
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple files

Role Requirements
Minimum 1 year QLD conveyancing experience (essential)
Preferably with accounting background
Experience with PEXA, Actionstep, or similar software (preferred)
Strong understanding of the end-to-end QLD settlement process
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fast and accurate typing skills
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proactive, reliable, and adaptable
