JOB OVERVIEW

AAA Forklifts, Parts & Service is looking for an experienced Service Dispatcher to coordinate our field service technicians and help keep our daily service schedule running smoothly.

Dispatch experience is strongly preferred for this position. We are looking for someone who has experience scheduling and coordinating technicians, drivers, contractors, delivery personnel, or other field/mobile employees—not simply general customer service experience.

What You'll Do
As our Service Dispatcher, you'll be at the center of our daily service operations.
You'll receive service calls from customers, gather the necessary equipment and repair information, and coordinate those requests with our field technicians.

Throughout the day, you'll:
- Schedule and dispatch field service technicians
- Assign service calls based on technician availability, location, and workload
- Coordinate routes to reduce unnecessary travel and improve efficiency
- Handle schedule changes, urgent service calls, cancellations, and delays
- Communicate with customers regarding technician arrival times and service updates
- Gather accurate equipment information and details about the customer's service issue
- Verify service requests, warranties, parts requirements, and other job information
- Keep technicians updated throughout the day
- Follow up with customers after service
- Maintain accurate service notes, records, and communications in our service software
- Coordinate with our Service Advisors, Parts Department, and Service Manager

This is a fast-moving position. Priorities can change throughout the day, so we're looking for someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly, and make good decisions without losing track of the details.

What We're Looking For
Strong candidates will have previous dispatching experience, particularly coordinating field employees or mobile service teams.

Experience may include:
- Automotive or equipment service dispatch
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or appliance service dispatch
- Roadside assistance or towing dispatch
- Trucking, transportation, or delivery dispatch
- Construction or contractor scheduling
- Field service technician coordination
- Fleet or logistics dispatch

Forklift experience is not required. We can teach you our equipment and processes. What we're looking for is someone who already understands the pace and responsibility of dispatching.

Requirements
- Previous dispatching, field service coordination, or technician scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Strong spoken and written English
- Comfortable speaking with U.S. customers by phone throughout the workday
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Able to manage multiple technicians and service calls simultaneously
- Comfortable making schedule adjustments when priorities change
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Detail-oriented with accurate documentation
- Able to work independently while communicating closely with the service team

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with a U.S.-based company
- Automotive, forklift, heavy equipment, or industrial service experience
- Experience using dispatch, CRM, ERP, or field-service management software
- Bilingual English/Spanish

About AAA Forklifts
At AAA Forklifts, Parts & Service, we help customers with equipment repair, maintenance, parts, buying, selling, and trading.
We're a growing team that values communication, accountability, teamwork, and people who take ownership of their work. You'll work closely with our service and parts teams and play an important role in making sure our customers receive fast, organized, and reliable service.

How to Apply

Put SERVICE FIRST in the subject line and answer the following questions:

1. Tell us about your dispatching experience.
What type of technicians, drivers, contractors, or field employees did you dispatch, and approximately how many did you coordinate at one time?

2. Walk us through how you managed a typical dispatch schedule.
How did you assign jobs and keep track of technician locations, availability, travel time, and changes throughout the day?

3. Give us an example of a difficult dispatch situation you handled.
For example: an emergency service call came in, a technician was running late, a job took longer than expected, or a customer needed immediate service. What did you do?

4. Have you worked for a U.S.-based company?
If yes, tell us about the company, your position, and your main responsibilities.

5. This position involves answering incoming service calls and speaking with American customers throughout the day.
Rate your phone communication skills from 1–10 and briefly explain your rating.

6. What dispatching, scheduling, CRM, or field-service software have you used?

7. Voice Recording

Using Vocaroo, send us a 60–90 second recording introducing yourself and answering:
“Tell us about your dispatch experience and why you would be good at coordinating field service technicians and communicating with customers.”

We look forward to hearing from you!
