JOB OVERVIEW

We’re hiring a senior specialist who can own our WordPress site performance, SEO (including local SEO), and tracking stack end-to-end.

You’ll be responsible for making sure the website is:

technically sound (fast, secure, structured),

visible on Google (SEO + local SEO),

correctly tracked (GTM + GA4 + conversions),

and built to convert (CRO + UX improvements).

MotoPress experience is a plus.
Meta/Google Ads knowledge is a plus (training can be provided), but you must already be strong in tracking and SEO fundamentals.

Responsibilities
1) WordPress (Core)

Manage WordPress sites: pages, templates, builders, plugins, responsive layouts

Troubleshoot issues (plugin conflicts, layout bugs, site errors, tracking breaks)

Implement best practice: security, backups, staging workflows, updates

Improve performance: caching, image optimisation, database cleanup, script control

2) SEO — Technical + On-Page + Content (Core)

You must be confident improving SEO across the whole site, not just “adding keywords”.

Technical SEO

Full technical audits (crawl issues, indexation, coverage, logs if needed)

Fix:

sitemap/robots.txt problems

canonical errors & duplicate content

404s/redirect chains

thin/duplicate pages

internal linking structure issues

pagination, URL structure, trailing slashes, etc.

Core Web Vitals + performance improvements tied to rankings

Implement and validate schema markup (LocalBusiness, Organization, FAQ, Service, Review where appropriate)

Improve site architecture (service pages, location pages, topical clustering)

On-Page SEO

Titles/meta descriptions that are click-worthy (not spammy)

Proper heading structure (H1/H2/H3), content formatting, keyword intent match

Optimise images (alt text, compression, correct formats)

Improve internal linking strategy and topical relevance

Create/update SEO templates for consistent optimisation across new pages

Content SEO (strategy + execution support)

Identify content opportunities using keyword research and competitor analysis

Build content plans: service pages, FAQs, blog posts, location pages

Improve existing pages to rank better (rewrite sections, expand, improve UX, add FAQs)

Ensure content is built for search intent + conversion (not generic fluff)

3) Local SEO (Core)

We want someone who understands how to rank locally, not just general SEO.

Optimise and manage Google Business Profile (GBP):

categories, services, descriptions, photos

posts, Q&A, messaging (if used)

review strategy guidance and best practices

Local landing pages (city/area pages) with correct structure and non-duplicate content

Citation consistency: NAP (Name/Address/Phone), directories, data accuracy

Local schema and embedded maps where appropriate

Local keyword strategy (areas served, “near me”, service + location queries)

4) Tracking, Analytics & Attribution (Core)

GTM setup: event tracking, triggers, variables, debugging

GA4 configuration: conversions, funnel steps, custom events, audiences

Track high-intent actions: forms, calls, WhatsApp clicks, bookings, calendar actions

Meta Pixel basics + CAPI (bonus if you can implement)

UTM best practices and clean reporting we can trust

5) GoHighLevel (GHL) + Funnel Support (Preferred)

Build/optimise GHL funnels, forms, calendars, automations

Ensure data capture flows into pipelines properly

Troubleshoot tracking issues between WordPress ? GHL ? analytics

6) CRO & UX Improvements (Strong Bonus)

Identify conversion blockers using analytics + heatmaps (Hotjar/Clarity)

Suggest and implement improvements: layout, messaging, CTAs, trust signals

A/B testing support where appropriate

Must-Have Skills

Senior WordPress expertise (not basic editing)

Strong technical + on-page SEO skills (able to audit + fix)

Local SEO knowledge (GBP + location strategy)

Google Tag Manager + GA4 conversion tracking experience

Strong troubleshooting and documentation habits

Reliable English communication and proactive updates

Nice-to-Have

MotoPress experience (Hotel Booking plugin/themes/builders)

GoHighLevel expert-level experience

Meta Ads + Google Ads experience (training available)

Looker Studio dashboards

Make/Zapier integrations, webhooks

Experience in lead-gen or local service SEO

What We’ll Measure (Outcomes)

Improved rankings and organic traffic on priority pages

More qualified leads from organic + local search

Clean indexation + reduced technical errors in Search Console

Faster site performance and improved Core Web Vitals

Accurate conversion tracking across GA4/GTM (and Meta where applicable)

Application Requirements (Filter)

Include:

Your WordPress + SEO experience (years + what type of sites)

2–3 SEO wins you’ve achieved (what you did + result)

Tools you use (Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog, etc.)

A short explanation: How would you improve local SEO for a service business?

Any GoHighLevel / MotoPress experience

No portfolio/examples = not considered.

Optional Paid Test (Shortlisted Only)

A short audit task:

Identify top SEO + local SEO + tracking issues on one page/site

Provide a prioritised fix list + expected impact
