JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian photography and videography company looking for a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis.

We are NOT looking for a beginner editor. We are looking for someone with strong professional editing experience who understands storytelling, pacing, music, sound design, colour grading and how to create polished, cinematic content.

Our work includes weddings, engagements, events, corporate/commercial projects and short-form social media content.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Editing cinematic wedding highlight films and longer wedding/event videos
• Editing engagement, event and commercial videos
• Creating high-quality Instagram Reels and other short-form content
• Working with footage from multiple cameras and professionally syncing footage/audio
• Selecting the strongest shots and creating a compelling story rather than simply putting clips together
• Professional colour correction and colour grading
• Audio mixing, dialogue clean-up and sound design
• Music selection and cutting footage naturally to music
• Creating smooth, tasteful transitions where appropriate
• Following our established editing style and maintaining consistency across projects
• Managing multiple editing projects and meeting agreed deadlines
• Making revisions based on feedback from our team

You MUST have:

• Strong professional video editing experience
• An excellent portfolio of previous work
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong colour-grading ability
• Excellent understanding of cinematic storytelling and pacing
• Experience working with multicamera footage
• Strong audio editing and sound-design skills
• Experience editing 4K footage
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable high-speed internet and a computer capable of professionally editing large 4K projects
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to receive feedback and follow an established creative direction

Wedding editing experience is highly preferred.

We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position and can eventually become an important part of our post-production team.
