JOB OVERVIEW

We're a US-based digital advertising agency that produces high-volume, direct-response video ads for our clients. Our current editor is at full capacity, so we're adding a second consistent, long-term editor to the team. This is not a one-off gig — we have a steady pipeline of edits every week, and we're looking for someone who wants ongoing work with a team that pays well and pays on time.

What You'll Be Doing

Editing short-form video ads (primarily for Facebook/Instagram) from raw footage and creative briefs
Cutting multiple variations of the same ad for testing (different hooks, lengths, and aspect ratios: 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9)
Adding captions, motion graphics, text overlays, and lower thirds that stop the scroll
Professional color grading and audio cleanup/mixing on every deliverable
Applying SFX and VFX where they enhance the message (not for their own sake)
Turning around revisions quickly and hitting agreed deadlines

Who We're Looking For

This is a senior-level role. We need a true master of the craft, not someone still learning. You must be able to demonstrate:

Expert color grading — you can match footage from different sources and deliver a clean, professional grade every time
Strong motion graphics — comfortable in After Effects (or equivalent) building animated text, transitions, and graphic elements from scratch
VFX capability — compositing, screen replacements, cleanup, and effects work
Sound design/SFX — you understand how sound drives retention and emotion in short-form ads
Fluency in Premiere Pro + After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve with equivalent motion graphics skills)
Experience editing ads or direct-response content is a big plus — you understand hooks, pacing, and retention, not just cinematic edits
Reliable communication in English, fast internet, and the ability to hit deadlines consistently

Pay & Structure

Paid per edit — very competitive rates. Strong editors on our team earn well above typical market rates because we value speed + quality and we don't nickel-and-dime revisions
Consistent weekly volume — this is ongoing work, not project-by-project uncertainty
Paid reliably via your preferred method (Wise, PayPal, etc.)
Room to grow into a lead editor role as our volume increases

How to Apply

To make sure you read this posting carefully, start your application with the word "GRADED" in the first line. Applications without it will not be read.

Then include:

A link to your portfolio or reel — must include examples of color grading, motion graphics, and VFX work (short-form ad examples are a huge plus)
Your per-edit rate range for a 30–60 second short-form ad with captions, graphics, grade, and sound design
Your typical turnaround time for that same edit
The editing software you use
One or two sentences on why you're a fit for high-volume ad editing specifically
