Senior Video Editor (Fitness & Direct-Response) | Remote
The Role
You'll own the edit on our short-form organic content, direct-response ads, and client testimonial assets. We need someone who understands why a video works: hook structure, retention, pacing, and what makes a 45-year-old woman stop scrolling and book a call. You'll get raw footage and a brief. We expect you to bring creative judgment, not just follow a checklist.
What You'll Do
Edit high-volume short-form content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) for organic growth and paid distribution
Cut direct-response video ads built for performance, including multiple hook and CTA variations per concept for testing
Turn client testimonials and voice-of-customer footage into credible, emotionally compelling ad assets
Transform raw talking-head, UGC, and webinar footage into polished, retention-driven content
Build custom captions, motion graphics, B-roll sequences, sound design, and color correction to a consistent brand standard
Make sure ads follow Meta and platform health and fitness advertising policies (claims, before/after imagery, body-image language)
Review performance data (hook rate, hold rate, CTR) with our marketing team and apply what's working to future edits
Contribute ideas on scripts, hooks, and creative angles, not only execution
Manage a steady pipeline of projects with fast, reliable turnaround
What We're Looking For (Required)
3+ years of professional editing experience, with a proven track record in short-form social content and direct-response or performance ads
Fitness, health, or wellness industry experience. You understand training, nutrition, and body-composition concepts well enough to choose the right B-roll, catch inaccurate visuals, and edit coaching content credibly
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve at an equivalent level). CapCut alone is not enough for this role
Strong motion graphics skills: animated text, kinetic captions, lower thirds, graphic overlays, and templated brand assets
Color correction and grading skills (Lumetri, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
Audio cleanup and sound design (noise reduction, mixing, music and SFX timing), using tools such as Adobe Audition, iZotope RX, or similar
A clear understanding of hook psychology, pattern interrupts, and retention editing for sub-60-second content
Experience with review and collaboration tools (
The ability to take feedback quickly and apply it without repeated revision rounds
Bonus Points
Experience editing ads for coaching, info-product, or high-ticket offers
Knowledge of women's health, midlife fitness, or the menopause space
Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) for thumbnails and static ad variations
Experience with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, Opus Clip, etc.) to speed up workflows
Familiarity with YouTube long-form editing and thumbnail strategy
How to Apply
Please include:
A portfolio with 2 short-form organic videos you edited. Performance results (ROAS, CTR, views) are a strong plus
Any fitness, health, or wellness work you've done
Your rate (per video or monthly retainer)
Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid test edit using our real raw footage.
Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.
