About the role
We're a US-based performance marketing team running paid social for DTC ecommerce brands. We spend real money on Meta and TikTok every day, and creative is the lever that moves it.
We're looking for a senior video ad editor who understands that a direct response ad is not a brand film. You'll be cutting UGC, founder videos, statics-to-motion, and testimonial edits at volume — and you'll know why the first 3 seconds matter more than the last 30.
This is not a "make it look pretty" role. You'll be handed briefs, raw footage, and performance data, and you'll be expected to have opinions about what to cut next.
What you'll do
Edit 5–8 video ads per day for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts (9:16 primary, plus 1:1 and 4:5 resizes)
Build hook variations off winning concepts — same body, 5 different openers
Cut UGC and creator footage into scroll-stopping direct response ads
Add captions, b-roll, motion graphics, sound design, and on-screen text that supports the offer
Turn static concepts and product photography into motion ads
Iterate on winners: new hooks, new CTAs, new lengths, new angles
Work from written briefs and creative frameworks (we'll give you the system)
Organize and tag deliverables in our asset library with correct naming conventions
Flag creative ideas you spot in the wild — we want an editor who studies ads, not just software
What we're looking for
Required:
3+ years editing video ads specifically for DTC ecommerce or performance marketing (agency or in-house)
Fluent in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Capcut
Strong grasp of direct response fundamentals: hooks, pattern interrupts, retention curves, problem-agitate-solve, CTA placement
Fast, clean turnaround — you can deliver a solid first cut in about an hour and sustain that pace daily
Excellent English comprehension for briefs and written feedback
Reliable hardware and internet, and a workspace you can actually work from
Comfortable with a high-volume, feedback-heavy workflow
