Key Responsibilities
#1. Complete clean-up for new clients - including fixing issues, reconciling accounts, completing client notes, and creating the REVIEW SHEET for the client's financials.
Measure of Success: New clients' books are ready for bookkeeping staff to begin ongoing monthly work within seven business days of initiating client onboarding

Tee-up tax returns for Tax Managers to complete by reviewing clients' accounting files, reconciling balances to end-of-year bank account statements, flagging and getting resolution on any issues that would impact the accuracy of data in preparing the return, and completing data entry into the tax software.
Measure of Success: Complete daily assigned tax work in the budgeted time allotted for each work card in Carbon (project management software)
#4. Pull and review Monthly Financial Statements for assigned full-service bookkeeping and tax accounting clients, including:
Annual Comparison
% of Income Comparison by Month
Cross-check against clients' other applicable software/systems that feed or are reflected in their financials
Review balance sheet and corresponding accounts such as Sales Tax, Payroll, A/R, A/P, Inventory, etc.
Measure of Success: Provide feedback to bookkeeping staff to ensure 10% or less rate of recurring errors.
#5. Proactively identify the "out of the normal" exceptions, errors, and opportunities for improvement - especially when backing up Junior Accountant
Measure of Success: Complete regular, monthly 1:1 meetings with individual bookkeepers and interns - including providing written notes highlighting at least five learning and/or problem-solving points with each bookkeeper or intern
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
At least 3 years of US bookkeeping experience with a US accounting firm
Required proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) and QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in tools such as Excel and automation applications.
