JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Founding Engineer / Senior Full-Stack Engineer to become the first engineer on our platform. You will build core product features from the ground up, take ownership of technical architecture and engineering decisions, and establish the development standards that future engineers will follow.

You will work directly with the founding team in a hands-on, high-ownership role, using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code throughout the development process.

Must Have
-At least 5 years of full-stack development experience
-Experience taking at least one system from an empty repository to production and maintaining it
-Experience with AI-assisted development, particularly tools such as Claude Code
-Previous technical leadership experience, such as Tech Lead or providing technical direction to other developers
-Strong ownership and ability to work independently
-Excellent written and spoken English
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Ability to take responsibility for quality, security, and delivery

Technical Expertise
-TypeScript, Next.js, and React — production full-stack experience
-Supabase — schema design, indexing, JSONB, Row-Level Security, authentication, and storage
-Deployment & Infrastructure — Vercel or similar, Node.js servers, Docker, Render, AWS, or similar
-Queues & Background Jobs — BullMQ, QStash, Inngest, or similar
-Authentication & API Design — JWT/OAuth, RBAC, REST, and rate limiting
-Testing — unit and integration testing using Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or similar
-AI APIs — Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar APIs integrated into product features

Responsibilities
-Build the platform's first production systems and core product modules
-Take ownership of the platform's technical architecture and key engineering decisions
-Build full-stack features from development through production
-Establish standards for code review, testing, deployment, and maintainability
-Design and develop APIs, authentication systems, background jobs, and integrations
-Integrate AI capabilities into product features and development workflows
-Work directly with the founding team to turn product requirements into technical solutions
-Evaluate technical approaches and provide input when improvements are needed
-Identify technical risks and communicate issues early
-Build secure, reliable, and maintainable systems
-Document important technical decisions and development practices
-Help mentor and guide future developers as the engineering team grows

Nice to Have
-Experience building multi-tenant SaaS or configurable platforms
-Experience with pgvector / RAG
-Experience with Sentry or similar observability tools
-Experience with Tailwind
-Experience building webhooks and third-party integrations
-Experience integrating email, SMS, payment, or other external services
-Experience working on an early-stage product from the initial development stage
