JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Shopify & WordPress (WooCommerce) Web Developer to join our growing Australian digital marketing agency.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimising high-performing eCommerce and lead generation websites for a wide range of Australian clients. We're looking for someone who takes pride in building fast, modern, conversion-focused websites with exceptional attention to detail.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a collaborative team and delivering outstanding work.

Key Responsibilities

Build and customise Shopify websites.
Build and customise WordPress websites using WooCommerce.
Develop responsive websites that perform across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Convert designs into fully functional websites.
Implement custom functionality when required.
Optimise website speed and performance.
Ensure websites are SEO-friendly and follow best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Perform website updates, maintenance, and security improvements.
Work closely with our marketing and design teams to deliver high-quality websites.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience developing websites professionally.
Strong experience with Shopify.
Strong experience with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Excellent HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP skills.
Experience with Shopify themes and customisation.
Experience with WordPress themes, plugins and custom development.
Strong understanding of responsive web development.
Experience improving website performance and Core Web Vitals.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Strong written and spoken English.
Reliable internet connection.

Able to work full-time during Australian business hours.

Nice to Have
Experience with Shopify Liquid.
Experience with page builders such as Elementor.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.
Basic understanding of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation).
Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
