Job title: Senior Presentation & Graphic Designer (Figma Slides)
Type of employment: Part-time
Hours per week: 20
Wage: $10–12 USD/hour, based on experience (about $870–1,040/month)
Job overview:
Hi, I'm Peter, creative director in LA.
We're a small design studio, and presentations are our favorite medium. Our decks have gone in front of Fortune 500 companies and investors alike. We've also worked with founders in AI, tech, and food and beverage, and with leadership organizations. We believe a great deck should feel like a great read, so compelling you can't help but click to the next slide.
I'm looking for a senior designer to join us. Some projects you'll own from first slide to last. On others, I will set the direction and you'll bring it to life.
What it's like to work with us:
We'd like to think we're a breath of fresh air. We're fast-paced and scrappy, chill in conversation, and obsessive about kerning. Some calls start with a deep discussion of life and the meanings and beauty we find within. Then we roll up our sleeves for the nitty-gritty: strategy, an action plan, and every last pixel.
What you'll make:
Pitch decks and client presentations in Figma Slides (the heart of the job)
One-pagers, social posts, and other marketing collateral, for clients and for Studio itself
Branding projects and brand applications
Now and then, motion work like Instagram videos built from templates, with more to come as we grow into it
Who you are:
You take initiative. When something's missing, you figure it out or improvise. You use your best judgment, because none of us ever has the full picture. You think a few steps ahead of the brief, do what it takes to get the work over the finish line, and speak up before anyone has to ask.
An honest note: if I have to follow up with you even once, we're probably not the right fit. We treat each other like adults here, with all the respect and autonomy that comes with it.
What you bring:
5+ years of design experience and a portfolio with real deck work
A sharp eye for layout, typography, and storytelling across a whole deck
Strong Figma skills (Figma Slides is a big plus), Illustrator and Photoshop
Clear written and spoken English. You'll mostly work with me, and we want to understand each other easily.
Comfort working in Slack and Trello
Bonus points for After Effects or motion experience
The details:
Part-time, 20 hours a week, at $10–12 USD/hour depending on experience
2–3 hours of overlap with my mornings (US Pacific time), lap being around 11 PM–2 AM Philippine time. The rest of your hours are yours to arrange.
We start with a paid test project, then a paid trial period. If it clicks, you can start the following week.
This role can grow into full-time, and we'd love for it to.
How to apply:
Send a link to your portfolio, and make sure it includes deck work. It's the first thing we'll open.
In a few sentences, tell us about a deck you're proud of and which part was yours.
Start your subject line with "SLIDE MASTER" so we know you made it to the end. (Getting people to the last slide is kind of our whole thing.)
Looking forward to seeing your work,
Peter
